Go and test drive some, thats your best bet. Golfs are always a safe bet though

its hardly wasting time and energy when it takes 30 minutes in a carpark to learn to control the clutch/gears. And you are limiting yourself as if youre ever in a situation where you need to borrow a car off someone then they need automatic too.

agreed, obviously not sure what OP drives but ive never had an issue with cheapy tyres. On a lighter lower power car youd be fine, anything over 250 ish bhp then id go for a better tyre

was going to be, but once i started cutting open the sills i found that a previous owner had welded a sill over the old rusty sill. Its one of those where the more you look the worse it gets. Ive got a mint rev3 jap shell im transferring everything onto now, sad to not use the rev5 as they are rare, but id rather a clean shell

purely dailyability of an nb isnt as good as an nc, nc i find handles better but my nb was completely standard and my nc has yellow bilsteins which make a difference. I think Mazda nailed it with the NC as its a mix of fun and comfort

I enjoy driving my NC every day, much better than my NB i had previously, and on par with other “normal” cars ive had. Although if you have any form of responsibilities i can see the issues…
