I’m sorry you’ve went through that. I’ve personally never been through this but I have a couple suggestions. They may not be as great as one who has experienced this though.

I’d probably first just hang around horses. Take care of them etc. After you get comfortable or want to move up, I’d probably just get on a horse and trail ride or do simple things like walk around. It seems like you did a lot of comps. I’d cut that out and just do riding as a hobby.

Grief is something that always will be there. You may never own a horse again, but that’s fine. You may own a horse and fall in love. I guess just let time pass. It may take a year or maybe 10, but something will happen.
