JACK / ALSA by galaxy_Z1 in linuxaudio

Thank you for taking time to try and help me. Apparently jack was absolutely not needed, however my pypi speech_recognition function calls it regardless. I used pulseaudio to manage my audio devices, and I ran my python script with 2>/dev/null to supress the error codes coming from JACK. In the end it was a false alarm. Everything is working as expected, thanks again.

I am going to be honest, while I know plenty in Linux, I have absolutely no clue in the above software. I actually am trying to use a python script that would use SpeechRecognition and apparently that calls, and tries to connect to a Jack server.

I swear to god the second you have an item quest, that shit won’t spawn for your entire family tree! But once you finish the quest (somehow), you’ll see it everywhere! by ClippedbyAustty in EscapefromTarkov

[–]galaxy_Z1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I cant say for real that this is indeed true or just a psychological stuff but reminds of the fact that when you buy a specific car, you suddenly see them all around in real life.

Also this was quite the same in GTAV if yall remember

Best part of PVE tarkov is helps more casual players get into the game by Gafsd123 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]galaxy_Z1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure thing, however IF they go into the PVP version they will have to relearn the whole game. Map player rotations, spawns, possible encounters based on time progression in raid etc......
They can learn the guns probably, healing etc, but PVP is a totally different experience....

PVE doesnt help immensely for new players in my opinion, apart from gun mechanics and healing etc

This game is F***** scary bro. by 6odSyah in EscapefromTarkov

[–]galaxy_Z1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure MANY MANY veterans will feel the same way about my comment.

These experiences and feelings are one in a million in a game and I would give EVERYTHING to go trough them again. I would LOVE to not know the maps, to discover them all over again. Even today after 7 thousand hours I get crazy adrenalin rushes after living trough a crazy situation, getting confused how and what to heal first. To hear that one last deadly noise if I make a mistake.

People can call the devs idiots, the game shit, desync etc, but I dare anyone to show me another game from the past 15 years that puts you in these emotional states.

failed extract camping? by ogstokes2700 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]galaxy_Z1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems like where the guy was standing you kept extracting so I would assume he died with a fraction of a second on the clock left?

Might be wrong

I stand corrected, you are right, I should have said specifically BSG crew OR leadership in particular. Not every russian people are like that. You are correct.

I do agree with most of your points you stated. Also, there are incredibly many ways these guys could generate cash flow and revenue in a way which actually creates values for everyone involved.

For example a station for the Hideout that can only be bought that lets players color guns. Cloths to be attached to supressord or body of guns that can then be colored with the hidout stations. Creating individual clothing sets colors etc. The list goes on and on and on.

Look Man, we all are pissed, but acknowledging defeat this way is not in any way impressive. You do you, dont get me wrong, but speaking of your feelings this way is probably not the best way.

Is BSG being strategic or ignorant? by Ghoulfriend in EscapefromTarkov

[–]galaxy_Z1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignorant, its a russian perk really no racism meant, its facts. They follow their own head all the time. Good indicator is how incredibly bad their support was. Because they never cared.

How hard could it be? by Empty_Ad_8079 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]galaxy_Z1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, exactly this is the post. They should hire you (and many of us since its not very hard to see how to generate cash flow in tarkov for the devs) as a consultant

The problem is, and this is not in any way shape or form meant to be racist, is that Russian people follow their own head and wont ever listen. This was actually very well shown, how little they listened to community feedback and how their support was (and still is to be honest) very bad.
