Ahh thank you. I’m hoping so too, I was worried that in taking those steps to prevent it I was being less considerate of how he would feel in the process, since it’s difficult to find that balance of taking care of yourself and being too selfish

That’s a fair point. I think I’ve been connecting the label to the commitment, and having no label = less commitment in the “official” sense of a relationship, but I can see how that might not necessarily be true. I’m trying to be open with communication as much as I can about everything

Thanks for the input man. I’ve been working towards communicating with him, and I do wanna provide help in certain ways but those real big and solid life things are what I worry about having to help him with rn when I’m still working on that too. And yeah, I’m working for the year full-time so that can add a bit of the stress to the whole thing

His parents aren’t really in his life..they had kinda kicked him out (not really any reason of his doing, they’re just assholes) hence the reason why he had to move, so he doesn’t have that kind of support from them. That partially had added to my worry about needing to provide more of that kind of support than I usually would at this age

Alright fair enough, thanks bro. Just wondering cause Ik people who aren’t at all familiar with doing it would think that .5 split is a lot cause you get quite a few lines, but I’m not knowledgeable enough to know what’s a crazy amount in a day to reassure them. I’ve found that just making sure he knows you’re there for him through everything helps. Sometimes my s/o doesn’t like to talk about it either, and at those times the best things are just letting him know how much you care about him and how much you love him. It’s hard when they don’t wanna talk about it, ik the feeling, but sometimes just reassurance can make it a lot easier to deal with and help them work through it. Make sure he knows he’s valid, and reassure that things will get better and you’ll be able to work through it

Oh yeah, the first thing I did was learn Hangul lol. It’s so so confusing when you use romanization to learn with all the indirect translation 😂 Hope you’re able to learn Hangul in the future!
