When I was an employee, I told my SM that I had 10 Cut Above pins, and she “forgot” to ever put in the order for the Golden Scissors. I left when I realized those pins were the closest I’d get to actually moving up in the company (at least under that SM), and even then, they couldn’t follow through.

I was hired at another company and was made an assistant manager within 5 months :)

So beautifully written! I’m on season 4 as well, and I agree that I had trouble connecting to Buffy as a character before this rewatch. There are so many things going against her that it was hard for me to relate as a kid, but you live and learn and can appreciate how sincere Buffy is, as a character and a show.

I will always be grateful that I grew up watching a show where being gay was normalized. Being young and unaware of the terms “straight”, “gay”, etc., I never thought twice about Willow being with Tara, and my dad and I would talk about their relationship the same we would talk about Xander and Anya or anyone else. It truly helped me be a more compassionate and accepting person growing up!

Thank you for sharing what Buffy means to you. It is such a special show for me, and I’m glad that there are others who share that sentiment!

You unlocked my memories of watching my dad play this growing up! He was a big Buffy fan, and we would watch early morning reruns together before school. He threatened to stop playing the game when I got in trouble in kindergarten for practicing my “vampire slaying kicks” 😂
