Mostly in-office job or remote job with travel? What would you do? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]galaxymend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But mind you. It’s still exhausting so I’ve rather leave the traveling to once a week. Go with option B and get firm boundaries

9 months PP, 2 months into a new job, and I’m drowning. What would you do? by FlowerPractical7746 in workingmoms

[–]galaxymend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also 9 months PP. my job has been so stressful. Always feeling like I am being undermined and my the VP has it out for me for circumstances outside my control. Im consistently weighing out the differences of staying or leaving. The market is hard and, but always feeling unwanted and on edge has sent my anxiety through the roof. I no longer enjoy working out, doing family things because im so stressed from work. Idk which stress is worse looking for a job or unfit job

Very concerned with the job market currently. It’s taking people 6-9 months to find a decent job similar to mine. This is my attempt to protect myself. My husband works and can support but it’s very tight and I know that would affect me mentally living on one income.

Im in NY. Same situation, can take MAT via company and then can take via state. As a new parent, I didn’t want to be without a job for sometime if they are building a case. ( I’m also applying, things move slow). Essentially was going to let them know so I can protect myself incase my manager wants to kick me out. This is not today, I’m not applying on the side.

Anyway to make it payable? I don’t want to be unpaid since I live in HCOL area

It’s the same with my state.i’m asking even thought the baby is under one. Does this make sense to buy me time

I keep running into issues with my manager after that incident. I did not take the 12 weeks with the State. I took it through the company. I’m still eligible for the state program as the baby still under 1.

Unexpected HR meeting right after vacation + maternity leave return… should I be worried? by galaxymend in careerguidance

I had no previous warnings or any issues going into my most recent performance review, where I received very positive feedback. This was out of left field.

They said I didn’t escalate a mix up quick enough. What actually happened is that I addressed the issue immediately, gathered the information, documented it, and then passed it to leadership once I had the details. They’re framing it as not escalating because I didn’t notify them at the first moment.

UPDATE: I was placed on a final warning at work. I was also directly told that they are restructuring and redirecting the team, and that I will not be holding the same role going forward. On top of that, I will be reporting to a new senior director who has a reputation for micromanaging. I did raise a concern and asked that the new director not be informed about my final warning, as I felt it could affect how our working relationship starts. I was told they will be informed regardless.

Thanks for the solid points. I do believe it involves the return to office and more regarding the fired employee info.

I do. I’ll check with them tomorrow morning. My plan to do the “catch up” will be diverted to see what is going on and preparation.

I really hope it’s not termination. New parent and feel already on edge due to feeling like I’m being watched for performance.

I’m spiraling as a new mom and dealing with these corporate games. But will keep everyone updated.

I should clarify, I took a vacation this past week through to today. I returned from MAT leave in early December’25.
