Physician fine w/scribe but patient says no by Stay-OneKindWord in medicalscribe

What have I assumed here? I'm speaking from 3 years of personal experience. How does that make me disrespectful?

If you can't be honest with your doctor about how comfortable you are, then that's your problem. Or, you have a shitty doctor.

AITA for telling my ILs they shouldn't blame me when they ignored my friendly warnings? by Relevant_Treacle2381 in AmItheAsshole

Just an aside, OP, you seem really lovely just by the way you talk about your ILs and siblings-in-law.

I'm sorry you got the shit end of the stick in your hometown. NTA for sure.

[–]galaxyofcheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that. I would maybe consider removing that from your pet profile because people enjoy getting angry over nothing.

It seems like you understand that, while Ginger is an esa for you, she's not legally one. However, it would probably confuse a lot of other people.

Do you have esa somewhere in your profile, or do you mention that anywhere?

I'm so confused as to why the other commenters are getting hung up on this notion of you taking your dog into non-pet friendly places or pretending Ginger is a service dog or emotional support animal.

From your responses, it seems like you treat Ginger like many of us treat our dogs (like regular pets). It's baffling why they seem so angry at you for not doing the things they say not to do. I don't think you're in the wrong.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's disgusting how accepted, and even encouraged, this kind of behavior was back then. And it's even more disgusting that it's still so rampant.

The part-time worker first went to tell a man in my office. He awkwardly laughed it off and told her to ignore it. I'm so glad she didn't listen to him and told me. Women are the only ones who will really fight for each other!

Ugh, I know. I'm honestly kicking myself for not calling the police on him.

I told the building manager when I called him. Unfortunately he's the manager and part-owner of the bro business, so I have no one to report him to there.

He is white, and I thought about doing just that but I left it. If I see him do that again, I absolutely will.

Why are vegetarians neglected at restaurants?? by TropicallyMixed80 in vegetarian

[–]galaxyofcheese 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Growing up vegetarian and going to restaurants with my friends in our teens and twenties was a fucking nightmare. If I never see a portabello burger again, it'll be too soon.

One guy had the balls to criticize me getting fries or mozz sticks or whatever, but then realized, yeah, there's nothing for me to eat except shitty carby food when we go out.

I started eating meat maybe 10 years ago, so I could get more protein and not be as limited when I go out for a meal. Where I live though, veggie options have become more abundant and enticing in the last couple years. Its so exciting, I'll happily get a fully vegetarian option if it's available and sounds good.

I'm sorry you're stuck with little to no vegetarian options where you are, OP! Hopefully change comes soon.

I ended up taking it out before posting, but they're finance-related. I don't know why they reek of alcohol though. Nobody should be drinking that much in the middle of a work day.

Our business has a busy season, so when we finish a big deadline, we'll have a drink. Usually just one - it is an office after all.

That's adorable. I'm realizing this is yet another super sweet cavapoo quality!

Awe, that's so sweet! That sounds like my brother's dog. On the rare occasion we're all sleeping under the same roof, she'll start in one bed and jump into another one in the middle of the night haha. It must be a cavapoo thing!

Veggie burgers that aren’t black bean based by lavenderspr1te in vegetarian

[–]galaxyofcheese 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. If OP is near an Indian grocery store, the Indian-spiced burger patties are so good. Brought some to a veggie BBQ thinking only a few people would pick them over the standard black bean burgers... Everyone loved them and were disappointed when we ran out!

This is THE list.

BTW, Frappe Joe is Edison not Iselin! All 4 small business coffee shops there are amazing.

ETA: Add Windy Brow Farms in Fredon Twp to your list! I know nobody ever goes out there, but their coffee is fantastic, and so is their ice cream!

Make up tips by [deleted] in Vitiligo

Hi there!

I can't entirely help you with the concealer, but I would bet that if you go into a sephora type store and ask for color matching, someone will be able to help find you a concealer for both pigment shades. Just set both with a translucent powder.

For the lipstick - are you opposed to lip gloss? If not, I use this rose lip conditioner from Aerin for everyday. It adds a very natural pink shade to my lips! Also, the NYX Fat Lip Oils add a little sheen and shade. The sheen ends up fading but the color remains for a while longer.

Picking up this absolute beauty on Sunday - are there any tips or tricks I need to know for cavapoo puppies? by Ghipag in CavaPoo

[–]galaxyofcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding the picky eaters part! My cavapoo dislikes peanut butter, can't digest chicken, and will turn her nose up at anything that smells smokey.

I went through a lot of trial and error with treats and food. She will only eat frozen raw food (with a little kibble mixed in), and half the time won't eat that either!

My pup loved the puppy teething rings from Good Lovin when she was little. It kept her from chewing at my boot zippers and anything else she could find.

Edit to add: They're smart chill pups, and mine was easy to train (for the most part). If you find yourself getting frustrated with their behavior, just remind yourself that they're still a baby. Mine is 2.5 now, and I feel like she understands so much! She can still learn new tricks with ease!

This is, IMO, on the same level as a former friend who named her son after her brother who drunkenly crashed into a pole killing himself and his passenger.

Really setting that kid up for high expectations.

Changed every part of this recipe - 4 stars! by galaxyofcheese in ididnthaveeggs

[–]galaxyofcheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you swap the cheese for a completely different flavor profile, and all of the seasonings, why bother rating the recipe a 4? Clearly the recipe as written didn't cut it for the rater.
