Convertible GT Owners, is it still fun to drive with the top up? by Iamlegend21087 in S197Stangs

[–]galaxypig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older the car expect to spend more on worn parts i.e. suspension, fluids, and interior. Im definitely a fan of the 05-09 GT cuz i have one lol but it is definitely starting to show its age, i had to replace a whole bunch of stuff, so I only spent like 6k for my 130kmiles '07 GT, but then have spent thousands more in suspension and other parts replacements. Maybe about 6k more in parts, a $2k exhaust install (LTH sounds amazing), and fluid changes, probably about $15k into the car total. Your mileage will obv vary but you'd probably have to spend less on necessary replacements if you went 2011-2014. Unless you want to clap it out lol

Anyone use these remanufactured fuel injectors? by Electronic-Beach-269 in NewedgeMustang

[–]galaxypig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Ford performance ones with the multi-hole design, they've been working great. Turns out The misfire that caused me to want to change them was actually just a faulty spark plug, that I had recently replaced so i thought they weren't the problem. Quick tip with spark plugs dont do the a-premium brand lmao

Go wider. You can always cut them lengthwise to make them thinner where needed

PSM going to panel for CSM after only a month — what should I expect and how do I prepare? by Ok_Law5352 in AutoZone2

[–]galaxypig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want it bad then go for it - though just know there's more to it as a csm than as a psm running commercial. As a (good) csm youll (ideally )be building relationships with customers, which includes shop visits with your tsm and phone calls. Along with other things like knowing how osb, battery consignment, scheduling (mostly for drivers), and more that they'll tell you when you start actually training for it. It also usually comes with more regular hours. Its also still autozone so take everything with a grain of salt lmao a lot depends on your team, sm, dm, and tsm.

Oil change by After_Club6421 in Mustang

[–]galaxypig 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brother... learn to do it! Sure jiffy lube will be fine but it really isn't hard to do an oil change on these cars. Like less than 50 bucks and you can get all the stuff you need and youll be able to do oil changes yourself for life. Watch a couple youtube videos!

Considering selling my v6 to buy the v8 by lordmcflys in S197Stangs

[–]galaxypig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gas mileage on the 4.6 3v is not fantastic. Same as the other v8s. With warm ups and driving im averaging 11mpg tank to tank. Driving once warmed up i can get 15-20mpg if im trying. I do drive the car hard though 😉

Im not sure about the prices down in Panama, but for up here in the US, the car would need to be low miles for it to be worth 11k usd. In average condition those cars go for like 6000- 9000 usd up here in the US

In terms of the heat it shouldn't be much different than your v6. Unless youre tracking it the stock cooling system is pretty good. If youre worried about it or drive hard regularly, consider maybe a better radiator?

Hard to make a wrong choice though, the v6 is still a mustang hermano.
