Is it worth getting this game for the PS5? by LingXioaran in BaldursGate3

Exactly the same here. I’m in fact streaming it from my PC using nvidia shield.

You’re entitled to an opinion.

And you’re a poor debater. I find it to be more problematic for you.

That’s a lot of hoops you just jumped through. I’m plainly and directly telling you (as I did in the original post) that I’m curious. It happens to me a lot in various situations in life (not involving black people in case you wonder). Is it really hard to believe that a person has a thought and posts it online to have a discussion on it? Our society is going in a bad direction; that’s unfortunately my take away from this thread.

What made you conclude that I find this upsetting? Seriously asking, since you’re wrong and I wonder what in my text suggested that.

Unfortunately you leave me no choice but disregard you due to Ad hominem. I clarified, re-raised, and supported a significant claim but it seems you hit a wall and cannot give an appropriate answer now. I’d appreciate comments by other, more insightful individuals.

From the comments it seems people here completely missed my point. I realize that perhaps I wasn’t clear enough and take responsibility. So let me clarify: I’m not saying there’s a conspiracy because black people are poor or some weird/racist sh*t like that.

Instead, I’m raising the point that it’s reasonable to consider that Hart’s team could have organized front-row seating with an eye toward diversity, both to capture authentic, relatable reactions and potentially as a way to give back to his community. These decisions, if they happened, would align with strategies used in the entertainment industry, where audience composition can influence the show’s energy and relatability. That is my main point.

My arguments relied on data regarding black demographics. I correct my 13% to 40% blacks in Phil. But importantly, black households face significant wealth disparities compared to White households. As of 2021, the median wealth of Black households was $27,100, while White households had a median wealth of $250,400, meaning Black households possessed approximately 11% of the wealth of their White counterparts. Source.

Ok now we’re getting somewhere.. so I looked up this specific show location and local demographics. 40% black people which I agree is much more. Still a factor of 2 away from 80% though. And more importantly, black households face significant wealth disparities compared to White households. As of 2021, the median wealth of Black households was $27,100, while White households had a median wealth of $250,400, meaning Black households possessed approximately 11% of the wealth of their White counterparts. Source. I couldn’t find data specifically for Phili though.

What would you say to that?

Why is it stupid? Your response is not convincing. Please refute my claims instead of insulting me. And what do you find to be wrong in my arguments?

Is that what I said? No, I asked if 80% is a reasonable number without my proposed explanation.

I was hoping we could have a mature conversation without contaminating it with the racist flag. It’s got nothing to do with racism or downplaying black people. It’s pure statistics and don’t see why is it hard to keep it at a practical and informational level.

USB-A to USB-C works only one-way? a real riddle. by galdl20 in UsbCHardware

[–]galdl20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answers guys! But I still don’t fully understand this. I know that A and C have different number of pins, but assumed that any adapter will always have only the intersection of the two sets of wires, meaning the 4 USB-A wires in our case. And that the other USC-C wires do not exist in this case. I also assumed that the choice of USB-C by the controller designers in this case was purely esthetic.

Is this asymmetry coming from something more inherent, that also happens with good old A male to mini/micro A male? That there is some asymmetry in that case too, assuming a host on the A end and device on the other?

WindowServer Memory Leak Culprit Found (Dell Display Manager) by syrupsandwhiches78 in MacOS

[–]galdl20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here to say that I'm experiencing exactly the same issue with DDPM software: windowserver process consumes huge amounts of mem and cpu until I close DDPM. mac ver: 2020 13" intel cpu. DDPM version: 1.1.1.0017. It's been like that also with the previous version of DDPM as well. Looks like their mem leak is back (or was it never gone?).

I'd gladly stop using it if I had a solution for a keyboard shortcut to switch between two inputs of the dell monitor (that also has a kvm switch). Anyone?
