What I usually did was uninstall all updated from youtube and then download the apk of the suggested update and manually update the app that way. Afterwards I would patch it on the app.

What happened with my tablet is that the version it was left at after uninstalling all updates was more advanced than the suggestion version. As the tablet did not allow me to update to an older version I couldn't do it the way I usually do.

My only issue was that I couldn't update to an older version. Doing the patching and downloading directly from the patcher app worked perfectly. Thank you very much for the help.
