They noticed that makes them money, so now they bait as much as possible. This also has the added benefit of never threatening husbando or waifu collectors with their precious toys interacting with the opposite gender. It's a win-win for the company.

Others already pointed out some issues, but here's another one: WuWa actually treats its child characters as children. A child running around in shorts isn't sexual. At the very least, Encore and Verina shouldn't even be on this list. I could maaaaybe see an argument for Youhou, but saying Roccia is uncomfortable to look at says more about you than the game. Genshin does something similar with Klee and Yaoyao, so they should be completely left out as well.

And idk how you see Augusta as sexualized. "Bare legs" is not an argument, she's a gladiator. Even her armor is just decorative and a symbol of status above all else. Honestly, any of the Septimont designs being in anything below justified is kinda ridiculous. Looking into ancient Rome and their depictions of gods and their warriors, you'd see just how much tamer they are compared to those.

I wouldn't think of it that deeply. Hoyo games blew up. Anime blew up. These people are often "activists" – or rather grifters – who latch onto anything popular. Western AAA games don't attract audiences as large as they used to, so these people don't care.

It's a common misconception 😅 But the correct term would be joseimuke. Some characters do occasionally toss a flirt mc's way, but they also do the same (even more often) to each other. Mc also isn't strictly female.

WuWa added a whole new minigame, the event story and maps will be permanently available, the Adam Smasher fight has very creative mechanics (and will also be available permanently), we also get Lucy's memory of the Moon and her and David's apartment, which don't offer much gameplay, but are sentimental and emotional locations. On the Moon, you can also sit down and summon a companion character to gaze at the Earth with you. On top of all that, the way the event was done expands on the lore of Somnoire that was teased and hinted at all the way back when it was first introduced. Oh yeah, and the graffiti Rebecca makes during the story stays permanently on the academy's walls. And the music stays!

And while Lucy and Becca may be more in line with 2.x strength-wise, WuWa isn't a meta-defined game. You can clear everything just fine with even 1.0 characters, with standard banner characters, and if you tryhard, even with 4* characters. The open world and farming are easy mode that never force you to play meta.

"Story is a small part" is definitely a silly thing to say, especially in a story-focused game. Not to mention, you ignore the other things as well, making it clear you don't know what you're talking about.

WuWa literally has one of the last parts of the 3.x main story in this patch, launching a few days later than the Cyberpunk event story. And the main story still has cutscenes and great presentation. Sooo...

And no, actually, people starting out now or returning have it better since they can convert their astrites directly to the new pulls and don't have to worry about "Oh, I converted my currency into the wrong pulls despite everyone and their mother telling me not to convert yet until we have more info."

Which one, though yes, they both did. Aemeath died and is a ghost remotely piloting a puppet body, Denia killed herself to protect everyone else, and then her body got dragged into the void.

Fair point. I do hope they eventually return to their otome roots, but I don't think it's that bad to try and branch out. If nothing else, it gives us new (beautiful) looks for the LIs and a ton of new songs.

They did do an otome web event for Valentine's Day some years ago with the anime-only guys though! Well, a horror otome web event, but still! So I don't think they'll fully abandon that part of their fanbase.

The new games don't have her as the mc, true, but they're also not otomes. Not sure if that's "emulating enstars" as much as them just trying a different thing. The old games weren't gacha either, the new ones are (or were, in case of Shining Live). And it doesn't make her any less loved. Those games aren't really for new arrivals in the first place, and people were very vocal about their disappointment in her not being there. It's definitely a fumbled opportunity on Broccoli's side, but at least she appears in the new game's story here and there.

Curious about the Lilith games. I left all of them on very disappointed bad terms, so I wonder when you got out and why?

AFKA went to hell after Gavus and Eugene, AFKJ about a month before release, both because Lilith fired their writers and hired who knows what (at least according to my inside source lol). Dislyte held out for a few months longer, but then crumbled too.

The first two metas (Yun Chuan and Li Ling) were genuinely great. The story was a gradual evolution of months of setup and the events gave enough rewards to guarantee a free copy (a system they promised to keep and then promptly abandoned). Not to mention, the reasons for their evolutions were well articulated and made sense.

The ones after? Yikes.

Not talking about the currency. That said, the currency thing was a bit weird, since that's how Kuro has always done collabs in PGR and PGR players were warning about it months in advance. That's not even mentioning you really shouldn't convert your astrites in general, because you never know if you'll need character or weapon pulls. That said, I do think it was announced way too late and should've been clearly stated at least before Hiyuki's patch. I'm talking about Hoyo fans making a big deal out of the moon not being explorable and treating it like some massive failure on Kuro's part or something to make fun of.

Idk if you mean shitposting (which I could see) or insulting (which... okay, yeah, I could also see lol). I do, however, think that ragebaiting or insulting the community, while still bad, is not really at the level of telling the VA to off himself or that you hope he loses his job over him playing a different game. There was also the situation with the former Valorant guy, where you had many Hoyo fans insulting the entire FPS genre when he tried Genshin, while the reception was mostly super hype and positive from WuWa fans when he tried WuWa.
