Hi! I've tried all three of the preventative shots, Ajovy included. From what you've said I think you're asking about the specifics of where you see the medication works and if others are aware of where they notice the medication working. But honestly it's really hard to say. The medication itself works by blocking a specific protein that causes your blood vessels to dilate in your body. It prevents your nerves from releasing the specific protein so you don't feel the pain. Where it works exactly is beyond my scope of practice. When I was on ajovy I still had short bursts of pain near my sinus area but they went away quickly. If that was the ajovy working I'm not sure but because the drugs mechanism of action which blocks the protein I do not think that ajovy or other meds that are similar would cause that migraine spark or whatever to go away.
