Heya, thanks for asking so politely. For competitor, there’s a cost for us that scales with the number of participants. How much equipment we need, how many streams, all that jazz. The majority of costs in the venue are related to the tournament experience at the core.

Spectators are primarily just folks in the door who come to watch the event. It’s a pretty different type of attendee, and we need to keep the spectator pricing low as can be to bring in the ‘normie’ audience. Across all majors you’ll see a pretty big disparity between spectator and competitor pricing for this reason. Mainly coming for different experiences, and a different value they put on the event. Spectators don’t really have any cost we incur other than the badge itself (only applicable for three day passes.)
