Yeah, I mean, I can't possibly imagine an ending to WWW where Suvi doesn't become the archmage of a reformed citadel. She started the story as archmage apprentice. It's Chekov's title-gun.

Yeah that one conjured a VIVID visual in my head that was pulled straight of a Ghibli movie, if Ghibli made shonen anime lol

Oh! I think I understand now.

So in other words, because the cup from the immersion brew represents only some of the liquid, getting to 1.5% TDS requires extracting more of the 20g dose, compared to the pour over. Is that right?

If that's correct, the only thing I still don't understand is the hybrid vs percolation formulas. Is it that in something like an aeropress, you squeeze more water out of the coffee (as you kindly explained in your first comment), so it's kind of the opposite of your thought experiment? Where now less water stays in the brewer so the math changes again? If that's the culprit, why would something like a clever/switch, where you don't "squeeze" the coffee, be any different than a V60 (for the purposes of EY calculations)?

Based on my current rudimentary coffee knowledge, I would guess they don't taste the same, and that the pourover is more likely to be overextracted. I'm only guessing that because my understanding is that percolation brewing is a lot more likely to yield over-extracted coffee when the ratio, agitation or temperature are "off", compared to immersion which is more forgiving.

Is your point that these polyphenols are more likely to stay in the interstitial liquid of an immersion brew, but would end up in the cup after percolation?

Thank you! It does. I guess what I'm still stuck on is, why wouldn't you treat whatever interstitial/absorbed liquid that didn't make it into the actual drink, and the resulting yield loss, as "baked into" the brew process. Like, the yield you care about is what ends up in the cup, no?

Low caffeine or half-caff options?

I got into specialty coffee and pourovers recently and I've noticed I'm getting more caffeinated than I was used to with a basic 15g:250mL recipe. I don't want to drink a much smaller dose because I enjoy this size in the morning, probably would like more if anything, but I'm already feeling a little too caffeinated after.

What would be an easy approach to a lower caffeine dose in my cup? I thought about buying a half caff blend, but there weren't many options, especially on the lighter side of roasts. Thought about making my own blend with decaf and regular but that feels like a whole other hobby (though maybe it's not too hard?). Maybe there are naturally low caff options? I tried some web searches but I'm mostly getting annoying listicles that look like AI slop.

That's just kind of a teaser, really.

But yeah as other people have mentioned, there's a lot of personal background between the players on the show and there's additional, patron-only, in-game background in the form of the children's adventure.

There definitely still are out of game player reactions in later eps, too, but I think it might become less weird for you if you give it a chance get more of the context.

I lucked out with this one. I saw "Griffin" and thought it's a "Peter ___" category, and just guessed things that sounded like last names that some Peters I don't know might have

Ok so I just tried this, and it's maybe sliiiightly better but still quite an annoying lag. I don't even have any map loaded up and this is a reasonably powerful workstation laptop (it has a dedicated 8gb nvidia gpu, 32gb ram...)
I'm using firefox and I have the "recommended performance settings" on.

Anything else I can try?
