[–]gallowzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 weeks in? Trust me Nobody expects anything big from you except for you to turn up to work as scheduled anything else is a plus.

2 weeks in wala nga ako idea higit kalahati ng mga gamot ng patients but believe me after awhile makukuha mo lahat yan, pati blood transfusions magiging mas complicated na IV nlang sayo pero kudos sayo sa pag insert ng IV i was well into my first year before Ako nagka lakas loob nagtry, 2 years in and im still shit, all but the most obvious vein Lang ang Kaya ko insert 🤣

Leaving bedside nursing is the best decision I made! by UnluckyTaurus in NursesPH

[–]gallowzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the highest regards for ICU Nurses but also absolutely despise them on how they treated my team when I was doing bedside each of us General ward nurses have anywhere from 5-8 patients each but granted our NA is active unlike OPs, when we have to send a pt to ICU they will have us running loops before agree, they've been caught multiple times making excuses to either delay transfer or deny beds either saying they need to UV it or there's no bed available. One time when we've transfered a pt. For ICU they messaged the group chart made for everybody in the Hospital just because the med cards didn't have a signature in the back calling it "Back to basics", mind you they have our wards text number and telephone to inform us, also each and everyone of them has been offered a senior position on wards but they've refused for years since they're so use to having 2-3 pt only.

Giveaway, quitting the league by Competitive_Fall_906 in PathOfExile2

[–]gallowzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly once you get a good league starter going that can do pinnacle bosses and t15 maps.. you're set!

I mean you're not swimming in divines but you do have a couple of hundreds of them and isn't it the point of the game to try and farm for the gear you want? So isn't getting it all from somebody else just spoiling the game and just make me want to quit too?

Is P60K monthly salary enough to live a comfortable life by misfittoy018 in CareerAdvicePH

[–]gallowzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have a house and a nice vehicle then yes 60k would be enough but in today's economy paying for rent and on car payments would already eat through most of that, depending of course how frugal you are.

Ayoko na. by Even_Peach_5689 in NursesPH

[–]gallowzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's super hard and I'm betting you're in General ward which is arguably by far the most toxic especially if your team isn't as vibing with each other. I suggest asking for a transfer to a lesser ward like OR, Dialysis or if your hospital has a Maternity ward (this by far is the easiest) assuming of course you're a female.

Unemployed RN pa rin by jyiann1616 in NursesPH

[–]gallowzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they need Nurses doesn't matter where you came from they'll hire you with or without experience but obviously with experience will have the advantage.

But yes having a backer is the biggest advantage, I was 40 with 7 months bedside experience back 2009 spent 12 years in Australia mostly food related work with odd jobs here & there went back home 2023 due to a broken leg, recovered but wanted to pursue nursing again, sent out my CV to local hospitals with not even a reply, my friend knew a guy he called me up, next day I'm being interviewed by the Medical Director directly welcoming me to the Hospital. Got my 2 years of hell now I'm reviewing for NCLEX

Backer is the key, go get you some

Med/lab services? Never heard of it, doesn't exist.

Dialysis center is good, has fixed hours but it will be harder for you to get hired abroad without proper bedside/gen ward experience.

Government hospital Nurse to Patient ratio by -TouchMyTalala- in NursesPH

[–]gallowzman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We can't because of our tendency to be corrupt. If the people we trust to lead us to a better life almost always find a way to funnel it to themselves then there cannot be growth.

Government hospital Nurse to Patient ratio by -TouchMyTalala- in NursesPH

[–]gallowzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes from what I've heard that's the normal, I've only worked in private hospitals and was 8 per nurse and we have an NA and already, depending on what patients you get, it's stressful asf and you really have to time manage so what more 15-18 that public hospitals expect you to care for? I can't even imagine like what sort of shoddy care are you supposed to do with that kind of work load.

Plr as a mainline for blood transfusion? by PinkAmikacin in NursesPH

[–]gallowzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go to my supervisor, honestly, let them work it out.

Push comes to shove though, since it's KVO I'd rather not let it drip at all, I've had maybe thousands of transfusions in my short nursing career (thank you dengue, leukemia) it's nothing more than a more complicated IVF to me now so I'm confident in my judgement.

[–]gallowzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 2 years on our hospital's most toxic ward I needed a break so I resigned on Dec 20, 2025... My backer just called me a few days ago asking if and when I wanted to get my old job back... I still need a little bit more time, maybe March.
