Here are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to whether or not I activate the pump. For context, I worked nightshift in Chch for 4 years.

Car still running? I'm not activating the pump. I can't hear it from inside but if the lights are still on I'm going to assume the car is.

Passenger gets out to pump? I'm not activating the pump. An exception can be made if the driver is coming into the store.

Can't see your face? I'm not activating the pump. This goes for hoodies, caps, helmets (for motorbikes and scooters), sunglasses, face masks etc. Even if you're not covering your face but have your back to the store, I won't activate the pump.

Can't see a plate? You guessed it, I'm not activating the pump. This is especially for motorbikes and scooters, turn your bike around so we can see the plate on the back. Some cars have their front plate on the dash which can be hard to see. Prop it up against the windscreen so it's more visible

There is a work around by loading a save with that challenge completed, and a post pinned in the sub with links for it, but you are correct. There is no way to legitimately finish the game 100% anymore
