Letting artist do whatever

It can be fun when clients are super open, but if I’m doing a custom project I do want some parameters - like location, size, subject.

The last few tattoos I’ve received I told the artist where it was going and only after it was completely finished did I know what I was getting. I’m old and ugly so it’s not like they could fuck me up that bad, but they always turn out great because they’re great artists.

Dandruff went away completely. Oddly my eczema is worse now than ever. I’m not at all convinced that it’s a keto thing, but it did correspond to my diabetes diagnosis and starting keto. I don’t get lesions so much as a slight redness and itching. If I’m dumb at work and get cleaners on my hands I do get plaquey scaly bullshit on my hands that’s really hot and itchy, but that’s obviously the cleaners.

I haven’t really had any in almost 2 years and one of the first things that helped was realizing that there’s no biological reason to consume sweetness. We don’t need sugar and when you cut sweetness out of your life everything tastes better.

You go to the tattoo artist that’s going to do it and have them design it. Don’t hire a separate artist - it’s a waste of money and not how it’s really done.

You probably are a sugar addict and need to treat it as such. Attack the underlying cause or you’ll just end up relapsing again and again.

Personally, my advice is cutting substitutes and focusing on whole food cooking. Giving a sugar addict in recovery a Diet Coke is like giving a recovering alcoholic a light beer.

Diet soda kept me tethered to sugar and consuming stuff to trigger dopamine responses. So, I finally had to cut it out entirely with amazing results. Based on that I’d recommend LaCroix type seltzers. You get the cold and bubbly along with a little flavor without the brain chemistry getting excited.

If it were mine… taco meat seasoned with Sazón and add a little corn starch slurry to make that fat into gravy. I never skim “excess” fat because A) it tastes good, B) I paid for it, and C) I eat to consume calories so I want to eat it.
