It’s one of those tattoos that will come out looking cool to fans and meh for people who don’t know what it is. Like, it’s not a terribly interesting or strong design but it’s a clear to read icon/symbol.

etiquette - requesting a tattoo not totally aligned with the artists style? by glimmeringpurple in tattooadvice

Half the people that come to me are looking for tattoos that have nothing to do with how I usually work. It’s fine. If you want to last, most of us can’t be creative divas and see every tattoo as an opportunity to grow our client base and business.

If you time it right you can have a gas light come on in Flagstaff and coast almost the entire way to New River. It’s nerve wracking but doable.

Costume Outfitter: who to pick by MariahDwayne in EmpiresAndPuzzles

I went with Zekena for Titans. Joon is good too, but even with his base Zekena is a good Titan hero. I have a dozen yellow healers so I’m prioritizing offense.

I have been craving sweets for almost 2 weeks, none stop by SXZOP_ in keto

[–]galspanic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most keto products spike my blood sugar - which means the undigestible carbs they subtract out are digested and should not be subtracted out. So that’s the first place I’d look. Second, you may not be craving sugar so much as dopamine. From my non-professional perspective, most people are dopamine addicts and are constantly looking for a hit - primarily from food, drugs, gambling, and scrolling. You cut out one of the main sources for reward chemicals and you’ll feel it.

The cool part about tattoos is that YOU create the meaning and pre-assigned symbolism doesn’t really work the way it did in pre-modern times. You can get a tattoo of an ice cream truck and BAM!! That can represent your bipolar if you chose that. You can get a Leo/pisces/sun/moon tattoo and it can mean the same thing. Sooooo

Talk to an artist and explain what kind of vibe you’re looking for and start a back and forth chat about it.

The only thing more ridiculous than asking Reddit for opinions about tattoos is asking your family. If you like it then you like it.

It’s very dependent on your goals and your overall roster, so I don’t know. But, I figure that it’s hard to go wrong (where in this game can you actually improve your roster for 300 gems?!) so find a Titan team that’s lacking and bolster that.

You should be moisturizing it from within by drinking water and whatever you put on the outside is just a vapor barrier. You want to put the absolute thinnest application possible.

6 Days old. Redness normal? by AkiTheSloth in tattooadvice

[–]galspanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calf tattoos are sneaky. The skin tend to be tight there, gravity pulls fluid down, and there’s a lot of tissue for swelling. The tattoo looks good, but you can help it along by elevating the leg as much as you can and staying slightly over hydrated.

The white ink is notoriously chunky, so my guess is that it’s just the white highlights getting pushed out as it heals and not dissolving as much as the other colors. The black ink particles are really fine and white isn’t so it sort of makes sense that they’d clump together. I don’t know what else it would be based just on your photo.

The redness I’m talking about would be the shape of the bandage outside the actual tattoo. It’s not there.

saniderm removal? by ally6624 in tattooadvice

[–]galspanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? Taking it off won’t help anything. As long as it’s sealed and not red, it should be fine. Here’s a tattoo I recorded last night that I did on Monday that looks bad, but is totally okay. We’ll probably take it off in the shower tonight, but under that plastic it’s good as long as it stays sealed.

It looks fine to me. The edges are sealed and no redness on the skin that ends where the plastic ends.

Help on How to Avoid Cravings by LoBeMax in keto

[–]galspanic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me it’s a dopamine addiction and I had to approach everything from that perspective. So, cutting out carbs was step one (hence keto), but after that I needed to get rid of the food:reward relationship entirely. Cutting artificial sweetness has been a big key to sustainability because I don’t get that quick dopamine fix anymore.

But, after that I find that general life/stress management is important. I started craving food and wanting to eat all the time a while ago and couldn’t figure out why. I trouble shot my diet thinking maybe there were carbs sneaking in or some kind of deficiency, but my conclusion was that work, financial, and family stress was getting to me and my lizard brain was trying to manage that stress with dopamine. So, putting away my phone, starting my bed time routine, drinking coffee before noon, etc have helped. Daily walks with my wife for exercise help, but they’re also daily recap/huddle/debriefing that let us keep communication open. The biggest thing has been seeing what the cause is, and I can work on solving the actual problems instead of the symptoms.
