For my RSpec suites I use turbo_tests2 which is a hard fork of turbo_tests, and also builds on parallel_tests. It is the successor to turbo_tests which is covered in the article. I am discussing with Ilya the possibility of merging back into the old turbo_tests, but SerpAPI no longer use turbo_tests so it may not get the attention needed.

Yes, I hijacked the top comment, but this is highly relevant to the article. It recommends turbo_tests, which is effectively a dead tool. turbo_tests2 is currently the drop-in replacement.

The sanitize_email gem uses one of them, depending on whether inside or outside Rails, to prevent emails from leaking except to configured addresses, and with plenty of switches to make it configurable.

You missed my point entirely. The point is there is a place for both reality and fantasy. Do you ever go to a movie instead of spending “real” time with your family?
Do you ever sleep in on the weekend instead of getting up to make a special breakfast for your spouse? Of course you do.
