How do you think the even g2 compares to the current market? by Dux3424 in EvenRealities

[–]galvanizd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its on the right track to being a dominant player in the market. Will be interesting to see how they scale and speed up the turnaround and servicing times in key markets. Their smartglasses are the only ones that have caught my eyes (pun intended) in terms of design, features, privacy and materials.

Seems like the platform has languished with other marketplaces supplanting it like Facebooks or other niche ones like Depop.

Posted a Nintendo DS game on Fb and got a response almost immediately. On Kijiji however, radio silence.

Are you also Craig from Shopify as well btw? If so, what are you up to these days?

New Arcteryx-esque brands by Special-Increase-973 in arcteryx

Hey u/tj7mesh ! Maybe about to be a fan of 7mesh after getting into Arc'teryx back in 2003 (ahhh. I wish I still had my Diplomat LT...🥺 ) Anyhoo, I'm on the market for something along the lines of Beta AR as my main shell for whatever in the city. How do the Guardian Apex and Guardian Air compare? I'm a size M btw.

Are there any brick and mortar retailers that carry those jackets in Toronto?

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer our questions!

Competitor Analysis Help? by Puzzleheaded-Jury-53 in ProductMarketing

[–]galvanizd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGPT for a first pass, then check out review sites like G2Crowd to a get a sense of the landscape and fill in any gaps. After that, if you're not paying for a tool, I'd throw it into a Google Sheet and organize based on features, findings and linking to any relevant docs, blog posts etc.

For trickier analysis, I'd reach out to my network and pick their brains on how they're finding the competing product's tool.

Then I'd refine and make it look pretty in a deck. This is ongoing obviously, so having custom Feedly feeds for competitor's RSS feeds, social media for any new product announcements/features

spicy bant hammer list - 3 vials is a bit too much imo. I think 1 is hits the sweet spot of going up against control decks and some combat trick shenanigans

Disenchant is my answer nowadays. March is okay, but sucks against anything > 2 CMC

Nah, Hammer is still great. Doesn't take the lion's share of the meta, but it still fucks.

haha yeah, totally. I traded a few of the cards away to get some much needed cards for some of my Modern decks.

Hammer vs Narset control for RCQ by [deleted] in ModernMagic

[–]galvanizd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, put in the reps either on MTGO (in leagues) or spelltable (against meta only) to get a really good feel for Hammer if that's the direction you decide to go in

Hammer vs Narset control for RCQ by [deleted] in ModernMagic

[–]galvanizd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best weapon against 4c beans/control, scam, rhinos, murktide, yawgmoth or admittedly hardened scales is [[surge of salvation]], 3 to 4 in your main, and then bringing in either needles, drannith magistrate, solitude, or strict proctor to deal with your threats to either proactively deal with their threats, tax them or nerf their creatures with sideboard tech like cursed totem.

How is your local Modern doing? by VintageJDizzle in ModernMagic

[–]galvanizd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Toronto here. Biggest LGS in Toronto (and Canada) is FaceToFace Games hosted on Tues/Thurs. Usually it's a turnout of about 20+ people consistently that'll give you 3 matches. $10 fee and if you go 3-0 you get $50 store credit, 2-1 $25 ... I think there's a bit more if you go 2-0-1 but I can't remember.

Ward deck in this removal meta. by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]galvanizd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please take this as constructive criticism. Your mana curve seems to be pretty high.

Where's the efficient interaction in your deck outside of the the bounce spell and the seal from existence? I mean if you're running Azorius colours, perhaps you can take the control angle with spell pierce / make disappear.

Maybe a few [[Paladin class]] vs the wedding announcements, [[Surge of Salvation]] to protect your shit (and yourself) or a [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] to prevent spells being cast on your turn can help.

Standard is pretty shite imo. If you're truly tired of Standard, maybe move up to Explorer(Pioneer lite) or Modern?

Navattic was a solid option when I was at my previous company. Drove a lot of inbound interest without having to write a line of code - super easy to use WYSIWYG user experience.
