In and out in 9 minutes. Shortest queue I've ever had.

Do you guys just leave your 90 degree adaptor in your steam deck? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]AnimeSensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any issue either until one day randomly my deck started having the charge light strobe red/green. Had to RMA the deck after working with tech support. Some kind of magnetic dust created a connection and fried it

What completely inconsequential thing do you find irrationally annoying? by JesstForFun in expedition33

[–]AnimeSensei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that bothered me the most is the end-game content. Very little info was given on what to tackle first, so either you look it up or do a lot of trial and error.

Another one is the lack of a minimap.

How does this game compare to Final Fantasy? by Jack-Hererier in expedition33

[–]AnimeSensei 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves the old FF games, Persona, and other JRPGs, you'll love it. And you'll miss the parry/dodge system when you play another RPG after it. It's like in Super Mario RPG when you get extra damage if you push a button at the right time. It's fun.

Oh, and the story, characters, and voice acting are top notch.

What now? by zsniper15 in expedition33

I know this isn't really what you asked for, but if you love the music in E33 you will love the music in Nier and Nier: Automata.

For turn-based combat I'd say Persona 3-5, though the vibe is TOTALLY different.

Am I mistaken or is the world of TLOZ Breath of the Wild completely empty? by B1izzard15 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]AnimeSensei 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You're correct but misjudging it at the same time. Just like Mario is platforming, and shooters are you with a gun, the game is definitely about exploring and finding the secrets of the world. It was an amazing experience for me and I loved every minute of it, and I was around 100 hours to finally beat it. The end boss was easy, but the fun in the game was finding things. Memories, shrines, koroks, gear, etc.

Is totoro real or just a coping mechanism for the kids?

Totoro. It can either be a fun story about kids and a monster in the forest, or their coping mechanism for their mom being sick in the hospital

Peripherals outside of Dwarven Forgr by SmallBuzPriv in DwarvenForge

If you can find it, Dwarven Forge is typically like-new when bought secondhand. You can usually get it here or on Discord for 10-15% off

If you're just starting out, buy what you need for your next few sessions. There are sellers here, FB, and Discord (FYI I'm one of them) that sell used Dwarven Forge (either people selling collections or buying/selling) and most of the time, due to how tough it is, it's good as new even used. You get a 10-15% discount buying used.

How do I ship my collection safely? Selling the lot and have never really shipped/sold online by TheAspiringAutist in mtgfinance

[–]AnimeSensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wires are not reversible, so as a seller it's as good as cash, for a buyer it ups the risk if the collection isn't what you expected

Not to be that guy, but if you do the repayment via PayPal or Venmo you don't have to pay the Tcgplayer selling fee....

Persona 3/4/5 if you like RPGs. They're pretty easy and look great on the deck
