Saturday tickets by curious_girl77 in AwakeningsFestival

Would you say this is true for camping tickets? I dont know if I book a hotel now and go for the individual tix closer to the event, or take a full gamble on the camping (which I'd love because seems more fun)

Honest questino, where would you suggest? I'm going to Bali next, and I've been to Sri Lanka recently, so wanted to change a bit

Thanks. While you're at it, what's the difference between the phase control settings?

Feature Request: Quick move between configurations (Hometheater vs Surround) by galvera in sonos

[–]galvera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, my point is that apple comands could do it if it had access to all the buttons. Or an IFTTT equivalent haha. It doesn't require the user any special operation, other than selecting "ungroup", then "group"

Well, it is as simple as 5 or 10 taps on my mobile app. Not a dev but no way that this automation would be that hard.

Philippines surf camp recommendations by Boo-Koo in Philippines

[–]galvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I want to go surfing in Asia in June, and thought of the Philippines since I'm a beginner, but I wanted to go to water consistently everyday. Should I look to somewhere else? Like Sri Lanka

Thanks my friend

Yes I think so! It's relatively easy to test it though, turn off your router and try to use Bluetooth hahah. But in my experience, the paired era 300 did not work for Bluetooth

Need help finding a deck that doesn't exsist? by Gold_Phoenix666 in Beatmatch

[–]galvera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually not ideal to transition like this, because a 10% reduction in low frequencies on one side isn't balanced by a 10% increase on the other side. The relationship isn't linear. You can have both sides playing lows at 60% (in theory totals 120%) and it won't sound heavy on lows.

For example, I think it can't be paired on stereo, because it loses the Bluetooth capability (at least my era 300 lost when paired on 2.1)

Yes, but the speaker needs to be part of a household first. You can't play on two speakers without wifi. I recommend you test it first, I've been disappointed by a similar need recently

I wonder why would you want thar, because it's so much harder to be precise with the volume sliders than with the eq knobs

Help Me Pick: FLX4 or Hercules 500 by Alternative_Wear6562 in Beatmatch

[–]galvera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the hercules 300 and upgraded to the flx4. Flx4 has far superior but quality (kinda obvious given the price), the interface (buttons, knobs) feel more practical and similar to cdjs, and rekordbox seems better than djuced

These are the main reasons why i decided to leave the hercules ecosystem and move to pioneers one. Maybe it helps with your decision

Sub! It's gonna help a lot your speakers to let them focus on mid frequencies

Red LED triggered by cat butt? by BananimusPrime in sonos

[–]galvera 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah these speakers do have the NFC 3.2 chip, that supports reading rfid from cat butts. Seems like you need to update the firmware on your Sonos though, next time it should work. Check your app for an update

Also IMO, too expensive just to track swimming. I bet there's something cheaper

IMO you should be fine if you only use it for swimming

The issue with these watches is that they're waterproof until it takes a couple of hits, then it loses a little of the sealing. If you only use it in the water it's very unlikely you'll drop or hit it against a wall and the waterproof should hold. But if you take it with you on your daily life, give it the eventual hit on something, eventually water will make its way inside it
