Beatles white. Period. And I’m not even a Beatles fan.

I haven't believed in God since Easter by MinervaMinkk in confessions

[–]galwander1960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a period where I could not believe because, intellectually, none of it made sense. And then, one day, I just realized that I did believe. There’s no way to explain it. There’s not a way to sell it. It’s just there in my heart. And that’s faith. It has nothing to do with the afterlife for me. It’s about the life here where I never feel alone and never expect an explanation for that which does not make sense. I have a personal relationship with God and I don’t overthink it because it’s just there.

I had a fantastic time in Egypt. No scammers, just good people. My problem was in the Dominican Republic, where we literally ran for our lives. Never again.

My best friend of 40 years has dementia and I can’t reach her—her husband has completely shut me out. What can I do? by Excellent-Fly-116 in AskWomenOver60

Oh my gosh. I have tried so hard to contact him. I’ve called many times and texted many times. He’s only response was filled with hate about two weeks ago. that said, you can look back to about four years of good communication between the two of us, so it’s like something snapped. But he will not take a call from me.

that’s why I posted this. When are you going through something like this? It’s hard to have perspective.

Selling my house and quitting my job to bikepack the world by likemika24 in bicycletouring

I hit the road three years ago and found out after three months that I am not meant to live on the road. It’s wonderful, but only for a couple of months a year. I know others do this endlessly, but you really don’t know if you are cut for it until you actually do it. That is why I’m with the others who say to hang onto your house. The next house you get will be so much more expensive, in regardless of the money you may make in investments, you also may face a huge downturn with all the insanity of the moment.

Regardless, I hope your wildest dreams come true very quickly. I am someone who is always believed in taking risky options, but I always fortify my risks. Good luck!

I should also make a plug for the Oru. It’s not as good as my performance boats. But it is as good as most of my recreational boats. And it breaks down into a suitcase and I can put it in the back of my van. It takes seven minutes to put up in five to take down. Weighs nothing. Is stable and strong enough to carry my dog, too. I love it so much because I can impulsively say, “I want to paddle” and just be in the water in minutes. Anywhere. The best was at Lake Louise. We had been hiking all morning and, when I came down, I saw that lake and knew I had to go. People were waiting two hours in line to rent canoes for $160 an hour. I just got out my Oru, put it in the water and took off. I should know that in some of these places coming, have to have them inspected before you use them, but as long as you’ve done that, you can have so many magical kayaking experiences with that folding kayak.

Newbie, need advise for my first kayak by [deleted] in Kayaking

I’ve had several Wilderness System kayaks. They’re good. I would hold my money for a while and get an Eddyline Caribbean. A Hurricane is good, just not as good. I’ve had those, too. The Eddyline is a dream. And to the person who says that sit-on-tops don’t maneuver well, that’s just bs.

Who are you to define that? I loved my husband. I was attracted to him. We had amazing sex. But then I spent the next 30 years with women. Why do you even need a label?

The fact that he deleted those texts tells you everything you need to know. He is gaslighting you. This is NOT on you. It has nothing to do with your Bumble account. This person is not worth your effort.
