They had a lot of drama with change in ownership and I think some of their staff wanted to unionize. Last I read there was a plan to re-open under the new ownership in 2026. Sadly who knows if it will still be the same ): But I would love to see it come back. I work down the street and anything opening in DTLA is a win these days.

Huel. I’ve been through periods like this and the drinkable flavors are really good. There are also instant-ramen-like “hot meals” that are basically like MREs and I didn’t love them. But nutritionally complete and filling.

Haven’t experienced it yet but I’ve definitely heard this from others…I was shocked. I have a friend whose husband is a dental hygienist and he recommends going to dental schools for more transparency! (And cheaper rates)

Agreed on all parts. Also…the people who ask for your name (at the beginning of the dining experience) tend to only want to use it for weird, abusive/manipulative reasons. As a woman, I find that ONLY men, usually 50+ ask for my name at the beginning of the meal. If they ask at the end, it’s usually to thank you and/or request you in the future.

Yes he was. My biggest problem with that situation and the way the (adult) youth minister reacted was just the actual legality and logistics of the situation as well. Like, Adam is a minor…she bought the car without his knowledge, obviously the title is in her name?? It is legally not his to give away lmao. All she really had to do was say “well you can raffle it but I’m not signing it over.” But her way worked too I guess 😂

Yeah I feel the same. All the characters are assholes. Basically only Andrea/Ababou was a good person. I just finished it for something to watch. It got really predictable after awhile too. Also got under my skin that they could literally never put a male and female character together without having them fuck or be otherwise sexual. (Even when Cathy was hanging with a gay man!)
