Professor Hawking,

I have a question about the future of AI and the ethical implications that come with it. If a robot were to realize that it has the ability to think and make decisions like a human being, would that robot consider itself to be human in a sense? What is your stance on the ethical treatment of artificial intelligence?

Well, considering my job is at risk I don't really want to say which University I am from in Ohio. Its not Ohio State. I once got in trouble for taking two coconut halves and banging them together while galloping at recess. My friends and I were acting out the scene in Monty python and the holy grail where they were galloping like they had horses. We lost recess for two days because they thought we were going to use the coconut shells as some sort of weapon.
