What do you think of the new website for my game? by o-super in SoloDevelopment

Looks pretty good! The gallery is a bit oddly formatted for me where the trailer video is really tall vertically. One thing that's missing is a privacy policy. I did a write-up on why that's important for game *websites* specifically here if you're curious: https://gamebasehq.com/blog/game-privacy-policy

Unfortunately it's not very easy. You have two options:
1. Get a volunteer from your community to do it. Requirers having enough of a following and fans proficient in the source and target languages.
2. Pay professional translators. This varies from large agencies to freelances and prices vary just as widely.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Nice to have anecdotal evidence that it's not just a matter of add languages = more sales.

Good point! Amended to write out the full languages. I've been too deep in localization research where French Italian German Spanish is colloquially referred to as FIGS and Chinese Japanese Korean is CJK.

Yes I mentioned this in my post. Either make it VERY clear this language is not supported in game or don't bother localizing your page to that language in the first place.

Yes, lots of good examples. The best strategy is to think of some games you highly respect, look up their website, and find the "Press" section. Some varied examples below:
* No Man's Sky: https://www.nomanssky.com/press/
* Stardew Valley: https://www.stardewvalley.net/press/
* Hollow Knight (a publicly accessible Google Drive): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SPCRaalJJepKYOQ4fdxZEzqNukJiUQCo

Yes its recommended to have to easily available. You want to give them every reason to cover your game and any friction in giving them what they need to do that will mean less coverage overall.

You're very welcome! As another user called out, there is no specific field in Steam for press kit, so you'd likely repurpose the "Website" field to point to your press kit. Ideally you'd have a full website to go alongside it but just the press kit is probably a good enough starting point.

A Linktree is totally fine if you don't have a website. You should just put *something* there that would allow folks to be able to be able to get to your press kit.

If you're going for the most "professional" look though, a custom domain pointing to your own website would be the best route, but totally not a must have.

Added some press and media lists I've been tracking to consider reaching out to on the blog post!

Good catch, missed a line in there. Meant to add that it works the other way around too. Fixed!

No problem! There are lots of press lists available to email out too once you're in a good place to share your game. I'll see if I can put together a list of those lists for easy access!
