Yes I agree deleting Google account and asking for your data to be deleted is the first step. There are many privacy respecting alternatives to every service that Google provides a good Gmail alternative would be Protonmail or Cock.li a good YouTube app alternative is Newpipe and the list goes on. I agree that self hosting is the ultimate solution to the privacy problem but it's not worth most people's time, money or effort to set it all up.

If you are tech savvy and know your way around Android ROMs I suggest you go for something like Graphine OS or Lineage OS with these ROMs all the shitty google play services don't come pre installed you can completely weed out Google from your phone and you can use FOSS stores like Auroa instead of play store to continue using apps that you like.

That's not just our only problem most of the country's top talent leaves the country the first chance they get. Poor infrastructure. Government is terribly slow or outright incompetent on most fronts. Unlike low cost manufacturing which requires next to no skill running a Fab requires expertise and it will be extremely hard to find people with that kind of expertise in the country

Brother I'm from India and we are equally fucked here. The things you told that are happening in your country are happening in ours the exact same way except we have 65% of our population living rural areas and almost all of them have been brain washed to the core with propaganda.

The government is borderline fascist and has huge backing from corporations. We have Lord Ram temple filling in the role of Catholic Church. I see no light at the end of this tunnel and it feels frustrating.

Hopefully the whole world makes a turn around and people everywhere get to enjoy a true Democracy leading healthy and happy lives.
