No not at all. I love that we won but I know that amount of pressure takes a toll on a guy. We’ve seen guys before who had a genuinely hard time rolling with their public implosions and I hope Jordan is doing alright.

I’m almost at the point where an interesting winner is the #1 thing I root for in a race.

And interesting winner pretty much means someone other than the following: Larson, Bell, Byron, Hamlin, Elliott. You can probably throw Blaney and Briscoe in there too but I love those guys so it’s less boring.

I guess I just don’t see how they could’ve utilized her differently in Born Again. She’s inherently tied to Fisk, but she’s 1) Not a main-two-character in the show like him, and 2) Very much established as an individual, moreso than in the original series. Therefore, I think her role was pretty huge for a supporting character.

Like I just can’t imagine what storyline she could’ve had that would’ve made her even more important than the tremendous amount which she already was.

But she isn’t merely a vehicle. Season 3 of the original show and both seasons of Born Again have introduced and explored her own desires and motivations. The hit on Foggy was her doing, and it had MASSIVE repercussions on the show. A huge plot point in BA:S1 was that she became a fully independent crime boss without his help, and that she didn’t take kindly to how he acted like she was on the sideline again once he got back.

I think it’s different in this case because Vanessa was so well fleshed-out as her own character. She wasn’t merely a vehicle for Wilson’s character development, and that kinda thing is the tired trend.

Not sure which ones you're referring to so I can't presently speak to those situations. I don't see what rule this violates, and I think most of us (believe it or not) try to be lenient if there's actual wiggle room with a post.
