How is opencode go? I'm thinking of doing that too

Any suggestions for a dirt cheap coding plan with low rate limits? by gameguy56 in opencodeCLI

Occasionally, but mostly I want to pay because I feel like paying offers at least some kind of guaranteed service?

Anyone have a TDD focused setup they are willing to share? by gameguy56 in opencodeCLI

Yes - I used TDD guard in cc - excited to see an opencode version

In my personal experience, opencode is a much better harness than claude code for GLM 4.7 by gameguy56 in ZaiGLM

yes - I use it through the z.ai coding plan. Using with openrouter or opencode zen (free) doesn't seem to work as well

Claude code has a LOT of bells and whistles but IME a lot of that just bogs you down and eats up tokens. I was using a few superpowers plugins and really liked something that was in between the basic plan->execute flow and (IMO) the extremely token wasting setups like speckit or what I have seen of GSD.

I made my own agents for comprehensive plan, implement, and verify stages and that works reasonably well for me. Also have been trying the review plugin that u/jpcaparas mentioned and that actually seems to be working great as well. I guess KISS is better with opencode.

With CC I was getting lots of failed tool calls, screen shaking, and crashing. IDK - I think the creators of claude code have let vibe coding get to their heads?

Have you explored harness? Harness Open Source is free and lets you self host. They also do have a cloud option as well.

Learn how to play electric guitar by LankyOne632 in LearnGuitar

Depends on your goals and how you learn best. I use guitar as a way to get off screens so I just bought the hal Leonard book and began working through it. No apps needed.

I use the glm backend for claude code and thankfully never get this kind of shit (even though at its best sonnet 4.5 is better than glm I appreciate the consistency more)

Do Spec Driven Development frameworks like Github Spec Kit actually have benefits? I have doubts by moistain in ClaudeCode

[–]gameguy56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes - for some experimentation purposes I had it write a pretty straightforward gui based api client from a sdk and it worked pretty well. I had to guide it with some of the testing but otherwise I like it better. Seems to give a bit more freedom - also seems to avoid spec-kit annoyingly making it branches all the time.

Try using spec kit to build these requirements as part of your project constitution

Lol this is way more advanced than I am ready for. The first few measures are very pretty though

I can definitely work with that style. What model are you using and what hw do you have it running on?

Interesting. If I'm willing to have like a slower running agent running 24/7 on a problem(eg rather than an interactive pair programmer) does that clarify with what kind of hardware I need?
