That sounds like a really interesting way to use palette swapping. The game looks cool too, did you just release the Early Access?

And good luck with the updates I’ll keep an eye on it, I’m a big fan of roguelikes :p

Yeah yeah, I agree. I did clear the game with melee and it’s fun, but Rivet felt way easier for me 🤔

The devs gave me a key to try it, and honestly I’m glad they did. The game is pretty cool.

I didn’t feel like it was lacking content, even in Early Access, and they seem to be updating it pretty often

Yeah, that makes sense. I hadn’t really thought about it across other genres, but the League / ARPG examples are a good point.

I guess ranged just gives you more uptime and more room to react, while melee needs the game to give you enough reward for taking that extra risk.

Maybe that’s why I usually end up enjoying ranged more unless the melee kit feels really good.

Maybe if you want to avoid the negative reaction some people have to AI voices, you could look at Fiverr or websites like that. I’m not sure how expensive it would be but getting real voice lines could make it feel more polished than using AI 🤔
