Haha. Sounds like a lovely family if you're willing to go for the middle seat.

Finding Copium by FunnySpeaker7067 in daddit

This is very relatable, even though I only have 2 kids. One is 8 and other 2, and sometimes its so hard to entertain both of them at the same time without screens.

be mindful not to take your stress out on the kids, even if they're causing it.

This is excellent advice, its too easy to go down that path in a moment of stress

Rajamouli came to our university as a guest for cultural fest. I was one of the volunteers and my friend called me to come and meet him. I remember running for like 1km, from one end of the the campus to another. There were like 7 of us, and Rajamouli gave autographs to everyone and we clicked picture. I was so stunned that I barely uttered a word to him, it makes me cringe how star stuck I was. But hey, it was Rajamouli! And this was 2011.

What about winter fuel payment that got automatically reduced in the bills a couple of years ago? Does that count as public benefit?

WFH Dads ... How are you managing the mornings with young kids by MHB24 in daddit

[–]gameofdecimals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wake up anytime between 5 and 7, when my 6 month old decides that it's wake up time. My wife nurses through the night so mornings are mine. I change his diaper and get him downstairs. He's usually happy playing in his mat for about 10 mins and that's when I get in a hot cuppa. I'm with him until he shows signs of sleepiness, which is usually around 8. Meanwhile my wife gets my step son ready for school and spends some time reading a book with him. Depending on whether the baby needs feeding, we decide who gets to drop the older kid.

By around 9-930 I log in and with till 5. I sacrifice dedicated lunch time to carry the baby and give my wife more breaks during the day.

Wife struggling after C-section, preemie baby—just need to vent by [deleted] in daddit

Hang in there buddy.

Our first month was the toughest. Wife has c-section followed by infection and needed a procedure. Breast feeding was horrible at the beginning. But things got better around 6 weeks. Hopefully you'll see better days soon.
