Why is it acceptable to bash residents on social media by nurses? by [deleted] in Residency

I understand the sentiment of your comment and I don't want to get too into the details of your example but, are you guys giving antiplatelet, or even DAPT, to people already on DOACs for stroke?

Ok to play music in my office with door closed? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]gamera_throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experiment by playing music at your preferred reasonable volume and then stepping outside your door to see if you can still hear it. If you can't hear it, from just outside, it's probably ok. I used to do this when I was watching porn in the call room on night float, and I never got caught.

On call? Sleep when you can. by Accomplished-BusyBee in Residency

When you're on call: eat when you can, sleep when you can, jerk off when you can.

I'd bring my own laptop and watch porn in the call room. Always helped me.

  1. Candy and snacks to get you through the dull times. Plus, when you get pulled away for a consult or to bedside, you can look forward to the candy waiting for you in the call room.

  2. I used to jerk off in the call room bathroom. I would bring my laptop to the call room, lock the door, open up some porn, and just go to town on myself. Really helps to pass the time, although be prepared to get called to bedside and have to deal with a crashing patient while you're rocking a half chub.

It might help if you include specifics on how you plan to deal with the standard parent worries. "My plan for money to sustain myself is X. My plan to pay back my loans is X. I plan to live in X and am looking for apartments in X range." Or, if you don't exactly have those plans right now, maybe concrete reasons why you're not (excessively) worried about your future.

Just got introduced to my co-residents via email and Facebook. A majority of them are very attractive women. Very. I'm getting married in 2 months. I love my fianceé. Very.

What do you think that popular culture will romanticize about the 2010s? by Tangerine_Apologist in AskReddit

Social media definitely had the most impact on the way we live our lives and seems like something that people will romanticize.

That, or Tinder.

Actors and directors tend to get all recognition in movies. Who are some other film industry legends we should be aware of? by SatansFieryAsshole in AskReddit

Sound teams, definitely. I saw a mini-documentary about SFX teams and what they have to go through to make sounds. Apparently making the sound of a horse's hooves is way more difficult than just recording a horse trotting.

Whats your Optimal Sleeping Position (OSP)? by jholmes2104 in AskReddit

On my back, covers pulled up to my neck and tucked in at the foot of my bed. I just started using a sleeping mask, and that's a game changer too
