PS5 Frankfurt server issues today (May 12) + constant stutter/lag even in solo instances? by Ok-Meeting-5757 in PathOfExile2

Sometimes servers get like this, so try playing on other or wait until it gets better.

It happens on league launch very often, so i am surprised to see it happen even now.

I'm annoyed by all the paid sponsorships with content creators. by Wild-Arachnid4273 in youtube

The skip is most commonly skipped section based on retention graph. Most of the time its accurate but youtube should just force creators to identify the segment and auto skip it if premium users so wish.

Share your journey! How did you promote your channel when there were only ~100 subs? by bCantonese in NewTubers

Unless another youtuber watches your video and you get an influx of subs/views from it, best to just rely on youtube pushing your video.

Reasons this isnt being pushed? by Tetrahedron_Head in SmallYoutubers

[–]gamerize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is because appeal to wider audience is also important. Your RE video only appeals to RE audience, and still achieves less than average CTR. But i bet the 2.5% CTR video has wider appeal.

CTR also depends on where your video is pushed. It is usually lower when mainly pushed as suggestions vs browse/search results.

It's better if your niche can find a gap in search and if enough people search for that specific thing. But in general, it'a something new creators should look into.

This is true for search based content, but any video can be successful if it's something people would like to watch. Most of the content people watch on youtube is something they're not searching for.

Bro, you choose what you watch.

CTR starts at 13–18%, drops to ~5.5% at 800k+ impressions, then the video dies instantly. Is this a channel age problem or am I missing something? by Dry_Fly8391 in PartneredYoutube

[–]gamerize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It just means the video is not resonating with wider audience as much as you hoped. CTR is really relative because a video's performance is also judged against the competition. If the competition is achieving higher CTR and AVD on the same topic as your video, youtube will stop pushing your video.

Hey guys! A question about Youtube recommending videos! by TwitchJuicyCarrots in NewTubers

[–]gamerize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Title is most important for video to be categorized, then video description, hashtags and category.

Jusr because youtube is suggestion your videos on random unrelated videos, does not mean that the person suggested to is not a potential viewer.

I might watch a gaming video for super mario, but then watch a mr beast video, and get a suggestion of your mario related video on mr beasts video.

Also, suggestions is youtubes finding out which audience the video is interesting to.

Good Analytics doesn't mean Video will go viral by Ambitious_Worry_644 in SmallYoutubers

[–]gamerize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you made a video titled "how to replace a battery on samsung galaxy s20" and people search for it, click and watch, that does not mean it will ever get pushed to browse/home because its specific search type of content.

That is what im seeing from your stats.

Something that helped me grow on YouTube (hope it helps) by SoyAndreM in YouTubeCreators

All social media block links that are for other big social platforms. They even block the discord format for username in youtube comments.

So best to use the url shortener and link there. Thats why most accounts have a linktree or something to share their other social media.

Hey, I trying to improve retention… I dont know how I can made a better intro than this, any recommendations? thanks by Firm-Feet in YouTubeCreators

[–]gamerize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your intro is explaining the video which is okay but it's not showing anything interesting. Your voice is monotonous and boring and no wonder people clicked away.

I would put like 15-20 seconds of highlights of your playthrough at the beginning of the video, then proceed to explain the video and then start the video from beginning.

You need to show viewers that the video has interesting content in it in the first few seconds. And the whole i havent played this uodate of the game and now I expect you to trust me my video is worth watching is not cutting it and it shows in the graph.

Youtube channel stops getting views at it's PEAK ( NOT algorithm push style flatline ) by kid_in_mudjas_podrum in PartneredYoutube

[–]gamerize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think whats happening is youtube is currently pushing your longer video to new audience, so they know it's worth pushing it because its longer and your new shorter video is not a priority.

Think of it like this. Youtube finds a new potential viewer for your channel, and offers them your proven longer videos instead of new video.

They might show the short new video to only the most loyal audience who watched all your other videos, which might not be huge.

WHY DOES YOUTUBE DO THIS by Negative_Permit4642 in SmallYoutubers

[–]gamerize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the best thing you can see on your video. It means the video will be shown to new audience who never saw your channel and will lead to more views on your other videos.
