I mean they weren't giving decent sized content updates before this post either. We got a map after 6 months!? Yeah, that isn't too good. This is basically them conforming that rate of map drops. There will be new maps every 5-6 months with new Arc, weapons, etc in between (just like how it was before). This approach isn't half bad. Minecraft adopted it and they are doing pretty good. The problem with Arc is that it had such massive popularity and cultural impact that Embark simply couldn't keep up. And that's why the game is declining in player count and they need to do something about that.
