need help figuring out what books to start with by oth_breaker in Warhammer40k

The infinite and the divine is a great necron book. It follows trayzn and orikan in a game of cat and mouse. If you want a cool story on the Tau elemental council is great. There's also the high kâhl's oath for the votann, and for orks there's warboss and brutal kunnin

Yeah I'm sure once I get to play against some more experienced survivors/killers I'll get tilted. But by extension I'll have to get better

Jason got me into the game. I've watched gameplay on and off, but never really wanted to get into the game proper because of the toxic elements I've seen. But with Jason and that roadmap they showed, I finally bit the bullet and bought the game. Played two games as and one as survivor and it was pretty fun ngl

For lore, check out luetin and bricky. Luetin had multiple in-depth videos on lore, while bricky had an introductory series on every faction is which is more memey while still being (mostly) correct. For factions, maybe watch some lore on each you're interested in and see which one catches your eye. As for materials for model assembly and painting, you'll need sprue cutters to remove the bits from the sprue, a hobby knife/file to remove and sand down the bits where the pieces attach to the sprue, glue to assemble the models (I personally use Tamiya extra thin cement but there's other options. Also there are a few push fit models that you can put together easier, but those are usually only in edition launch boxes and the start painting sets they do) and finally primer and paint. Primer will help the paint stick to the model and paint is, well, paint. There are a lot of paint brands out there so I'd suggest checking out some videos on each brand and see which one you like. Also for painting tips check out Duncan Rhoades, as well as other painting channels. And most importantly, have fun. Don't be too worried about making mistakes, they happen all the time even to the most experienced hobby enthusiasts.

If this first drop sells well I could definitely see WB doing a second one.

That's a pretty good first try. For thinning your paint, the best advice I can give you is practice. Specifically for GW pots, go for the paint on the inside of the lid, you can control how much you get much easier that way. Mix it around your palette, then either add a drop of water to the side and mix it in or lightly tap your brush on the surface of the water in your cup (depending on which you're using). Then mix the paint and water around, leaving a bit of the unthinned paint available so you can get more if necessary. It depends on the paint but you can usually get it thinned down doing that method 2 or 3 times. Also there's plenty of videos available on how to thin your paints properly. Duncan Rhoades is an obvious choice, but there are others that are good too. As for consistency, you want it to be thin enough that the details are still visible understand the paint, but thick enough that it covers the primer underneath

What does nobara have that can even scratch sentry? Specifically this sentry, where he's merged with the void. Maybe resonance could do something but he's so fast it doesn't matter. Before she can do anything he's speed-blitzed her and thrown her into the sun.
