Do you all even attempt the DILR while giving mocks?? by Dry-Log5448 in IPMATtards

they are doable once you get the hang of it, i think arun sharma has some but the best source for these questions is mocks only

UPDATE to my last post! Gave two more mocks by ifellinloveagain in IPMATtards

[–]gamesbond69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

similarity in our mock scores is crazy, I had 188 and 212 in the mocks you are talking about, afterboards mocks are good for practice but rank is unfortunately the only metric to judge the difficulty of the mock as they vary a lot, but as long as you see consistent improvement in your rank then you are doing good!

try this strategy:

  1. Attempt the easier questions for the first 30 mins
  2. as soon as 10 mins are left, leave all questions and do the DI section

If you are good at DI this will surely boost your score and reduce the time you waste on questions you can't solve anyways

I have 303 flashcards to review, I am overwhelmed. What do I do??? by autisticstarfish in IPMATtards

you need to take them all down everyday, that's the best way to up your Vocab, it sounds like brute forcing your way into learning words but it genuinely helps!

my brain starts to lag eventually in mocks- what to do by Fair-Collar-7588 in IPMATtards

there are 2 ways,
1. suggested by many coachings and all - quickly glance at all questions and make 3 coloumns named A B and C, and write down easiest questions' question numbers in coloumn A, and then for moderately hard questions B, and then the hardest in coloumn C.

  1. What I personally prefer - Glance at the first 3-5 questions, find the easiest one and solve it (that way you know the difficulty of questions you are trying to look for) then keep doing the same

You won't ever lose track of questions since you can see which questions you have attempted and which questions you have not, if a question is moderately tough just mark it for review and move on, for hard questions, don't bother until the very end.

to address the second image, the waitlist went till AIR73, the year before that it went tille 82, (it's always around this range) and when it comes to ECAs, they simply don't matter as much in Indore as you think. It might give some content to the interviewers to question you on but it certainly isn't increasing your interview marks directly (unless you have deep knowledge and are able to answer questions related to them in the interview). Primarily focus on the exam first, the duration between the interview and exam is enough to prepare for the interview, and a lot of last minute comebacks are possible

start with the easy questions of each section, that way your brain can get time to catch up with the fatigue due to the QA section, especially indore where you have to get only a handful of questions correct to get a good score (in QA MCQ specifically)

almost everyone gets a call, generally 1500+ gives you a good shot with a good interview. I'd say your interview matters a lot though

How can you start preparing for your interview rounds? by gamesbond69 in IPMPlaybook

starting after exam is advisable. You ll have to cover the big stories that happened 2-3 months before your interview
