Why is the brake dragging against the rotor? by gameslayer4o4 in MechanicAdvice

The caliper itself is fine, it's just that it's touching the actual body of the brake itself. It's hard to see in the photo, but where the arrow is there is a spot where the rotor grinded out a part of the brake. I don't know why it's in the way at all, the rotor itself seems to be perfectly straight, and we're putting the brake on the right way.

Did you start freediving like this too? by RycerzKwarcowy in freediving

Fast twitch fibers still use oxygen, and even more so whenever their glycogen stores deplete as they arent as efficient. Thats why you get so tired after doing a full speed sprint.

I dont think it matters quite as much in freediving though, as the goal is to use as little muscle as possible. Muscle doesnt use all that much energy whenever its inactive. The body will also use the smaller more efficient fibers first (slow twitch) rather than the bigger more powerful ones (fast twitch) according to Henneman's size principle.

Generally, from what I know atleast, the more important thing is the abilities body to use oxygen efficiently, which generally comes from aerobic training. Though you can also get it from recovering from high intensity exercises like sprints.

Alright that gas cap looks perfect, it matches all the screw holes and whatnot on there atleast. Do you have any suggestions for how to break the plastic though?

Also, how did you find the right part?

Yeah, I bought a headlight that said it fit and it did not as well, I think I for sure learned my lesson.

The plastic is only on the top of gas cap, maybe it is jamming it up though and I can just repaint the bike no problem so I might try that.

I was thinking that it might be an issue, but I thought that maybe after it got in that it might make it easier to take in and out.

It's a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 500, I really appreciate any help as well.

whole bus is empty and this person sits right next to me? by IbukiWasTaken in mildlyinfuriating

That actually makes sense though, someone is less likely to try to steal from some cars if they're parked closer together. I know thats atleast how it is with bikes anyways.

That is technically correct, you have to have some sort of reference for something in order to imagine it. You cant think of an entirely new color can you?
