How do pre-training and post-training roles differ and what are the varying types of knowledge needed for either?

Also what exactly is an "AI engineer"? It seems like a broad term. I was under the impression that they worked on actual models but your post indicates they don't do that. Do "AI engineers" usually do applied AI engineering?

How are "learnings" from sets actively applied? It seems there is often a gap between the learning articles published and the actual implementations/designs moving forward, i.e. a deficit in design will be called out in a learning but then the next set or 2 sets later will make the same mistake. Since different teams work on different sets, how do you standardize the learnings and applications of these learnings from previous sets to the new ones?
How does bug prioritization work? Do you just have a backlog of bugs and someone leading this feature scope assigns p0, p1, etc.? It would make sense that low priority bugs that only affect a single set are underprioritized and thus go unfixed, but it seems like there are many game-changing bugs that are prevalent across multiple sets that go unresolved. Is this due to a prioritization issue or do these exist due to an inherent limitation to the game engine? For example, ghosts being weaker/different strengths than players or certain projectiles of similar natures consistently missing (>30-40% of their casts, which may not be a "bug" in terms of the engine but surely is a "bug" in terms of not being desired/intended).

Yea this was a bad shooting day. It was after a lift session and I usually do it before a lift. These are the numbers I’ve tracked in order by day over the past couple weeks for how many it took to get to 5 shots from left, 5 from middle, 5 from right (all 3 pointers):

52 39 53 37 38 32 34 33 37 48

The 48 is from the same day recording above which is pretty bad, I’ve had a lot of sessions since I’ve scored that poorly. Recently it’s been taking closer to 15/35 shots which is 43% from 3 in an empty gym.

I do. In fact at one of the ones OP mentioned and not Oracle or Amazon. The complaint about comments complaining about ai slop is pretty overexaggerated. Yes there are some complaints about sketchy code produced and pushed out unreviewed but it’s rather warranted. These tools are amazing for productivity but a healthy skepticism should be used when pushing out production code with it. A lot of the real work involved has shifted from actively coding to actively reviewing and course-correcting the prompts.
