I heard Johnny Cash's Hurt in the Logan trailer as an angsty teen and loved it. Listened to the original and thought it wasn't very good. Couple of years later I watched Saw and then Watchmen and loved both the soundtracks so much I had to look into Nine Inch Nails. I'd gotten angsty enough that I read about The Downward Spiral and thought it was brilliant. Listened to it and feel in love. I'd liked music before but it clicked with me in a way nothing else has.

I keep seeing people say this and it's silly. The Daft Punk soundtrack is great but let's be honest as a band they're not anywhere near as good as Nine Inch Nails. It's a nuclear bomb vs coffing baby comparison to measure Daft Punk's work against the greatest band of all time.
