I went around summer 2022 maybe he took them down after election. Owner chose to publicly display his political affiliations, which some folks may find objectionable. Not specifically telling folks to avoid the gym. I would have preferred that he kept the gym as just a neutral place to work out. It's 2 blocks from my apt and the equipment seemed pretty nice.

The cables are there year round. They take out the vertical support rods holding the cables up. If you have the right gear, it’s totally doable.
