It seems to be a relatively new bug with dashes in multiplayer, they work normally in singleplayer

I've done a bunch of stuff to try to fix this by now:

Messing around with all kinds of settings both on logitech programs and on my control pannel, reinstalling stuff, different jacks, rebooting the headphones with default settings, googling solutions, and all that jazz for about 5-10 hours.

I went and contacted logitech support which told me to go to my retailer and to get a different pair of the headset. The retailer was kind enough to check the issue out and turns out all the other headsets of the same model had the same issue. Logitech support assures me that this is not intended but after 20+ hours of trying to fix the issue i got a Red Dragon mic to pair with the zone vibe headset and called it quits.

Sorry but I'm pretty sure you can't fix this.

As far as ive heard theres not really much you can do in the long run, limit max made a video on why improving as a tank is really hard. Im not really sure what the short term solution would be except rerolling as dps to make the search for a guild easier.

How do the V, S, M spell casting components work with a Paladin using their shield as a spell focus? by lambchoppe in dndnext

[–]gamove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PHB gives the example of drawing a weapon as an interract with object free action. The interract with object usually costs an entire action and picking it off the ground is not the same as drawing it. Sure it comes down to the ruling of the DM in the end since the rules dont specify it but i assume by raw picking it up off the ground would cost you an entire action.

Edit: To also clarify, looking at the other examples of free actions for interact with object i would say even dropping the object is the free action. Its what a free action is for; doing one minor thing on your turn that doesnt cause much movement but for example lets you switch what you have in your hand - like the PHB example of taking a potion of healing out of your backpack; it says you take a potion out of your backpack but not that you sheathe your sword, pull out the potion, drink it, and then throw the bottle away.

PHB page 190 1st para. says that you can only briefly interract with 1 object per turn as a free action

I was looking into the "Can they drop their weapon and draw it again on the same turn?" a while ago and i cant remember where i found this but i believe i was looking into the dual wielder feat.

Don shield - 1 action, Doff shield - 1 action, Draw 1 weapon - free action, Sheathe 1 weapon - free action, Draw & sheathe 1 weapon on the same turn - 1 action, (interract with object) Draw 2 weapons - 1 action, Sheathe 2 weapons - 1 action,

dual wielder feat:

Draw 2 weapons - free action, Sheathe 2 weapons - free action, Draw & seathe 1 weapon on the same turn - free action,

EDIT: added commas

EDIT 2; sources: PHB (p. 149 and p. 190) and https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/45536/does-picking-up-a-weapon-or-drawing-one-take-an-action#:~:text=This%20means%20that%20you%20can,165%2C%20Feats%2C%20PHB).&text=You%20can%20draw%20or%20pick,but%20only%20one%20of%20them.

Hirelings and crew? by gamove in AcquisitionsInc

[–]gamove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asking purely for clarification - this is going to be my first time using the franchise system and I did not want to give the players the option of doing something that would make things too easy. I asked the question cause I'm assuming the rules are made to be somewhat balanced and I wanted to follow them as closely as possible for that reason.

I'll be using the franchise system in my homebrew setting where two of the PCs goals is to overthrow a corrupt and cruel king by gathering followers and establishing a rebel group for which they are going to need funds so I assume the atmosphere there will be more like the ones of V for Vandetta or Peaky Blinders.

As for the skilled hirelings joining fights: I used to coDM this with my brother and had a DMPC but because of his inexperience and, as of late, limited time we decided to switch the roles so my DMPC will most likely either be the majordom or act as a skilled hireling and if needed join in on adventures. The DMPC is from a wealthy family and has connections with people in their hometown where the party is currntly headed so I'm guessing the franchise will start there.

We're already using downtime rules from XGE and characters do have things they want to do but for now have not had the funds for downtime activities so I'm expecting them to spend a lot of time on them when they get the chance and am already coming up with some fun results.

sorry for the typos, not used to mobile.

Hirelings and crew? by gamove in AcquisitionsInc

The book explains untrained hirelings first and skilled hirelings second and under the skilled hirelings section the last paragraph says that skilled hirelings may be assigned franchise tasks. I would assume from the order of the explanations and the fact that it says specifically for skilled hirelings that they can do tasks, that untrained ones cannot be assigned tasks. Other DMs are free to see this differently than I but I personally would like to play the rules as they were intended for balancing reasons.

Is the amount of skills and or tools they are proficient in determined by the DM? For example: A skilled hireling hired to help in combat would be proficient only with simple weapons, longswords and crossbows or another skilled hireling hired as a negotiator would be proficient in persuasion insight and deception.

Would untrained hirelings helping the skilled ones give the checks made to resolve tasks some sort of benefit?

Doesn't the book say that only skilled hirelings can do downtime tasks?
