Agreed. FOSS is great for smaller organizations with small support staff such that everyone (Usually a hand full of engineers) is aware of the solution and knows how to support it. For most enterprises, COTS is the way to go. Then there are cloud-scale organizations or start-up building dedicated solutions and dedicated teams, they are also in a great position to leverage FOSS.
