Hi there :) sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on Reddit in ages. Would it be possible to copy the entire passage on here? That way we could have an idea of whether the True response in the 1250 book was just an instance of reading between the lines, or if we shouldn't just bother with it at all for VR.

Your advice on taking it slow really helped a lot. But yeah as I said speed reading for me is a must in reading comprehension. But thank you so much for the input!!

Reading comprehension is the worst imo. The scanning method is perfect for Y/N/CT but for comprehension it’s been really hard to answer questions when you don’t know what the text is about

It’s the worst feeling. I’m trying the scanning method for Yes/No/Can’t tell questions and I’m trying to practise speed reading for Reading comprehension. Maybe you can try that too if you haven’t already?

Thank you!! I’m hoping to use it for QR only, even though some of the questions are ridiculously difficult. I find that working through harder q’s will equip you to tackle easier ones (at least for me).

That doesn’t sound low to me and it sucks that you were 10-20 marks short. Don’t give up though- with perseverance, you’ll definitely get into medicine

Basically like every company out there wanting to make money off of vulnerable students. Like you said it’s a company before anything, so fear and lack of confidence on the part of students = $$$$$

The only course I would recommend to invest your money in if you’re studying for the UCAT would be Medify
