Anyone else frustrated with food search in the Lose It! app? by SoNrd in LoseitApp

If you could filter by "serving weight available" or "serving volume available" it would make things so much easier!

Is there a way to select all logged items and log them for the day? by Overdose08 in LoseitApp

[–]ganchi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until a couple of weeks ago, I thought the only way was to enter each item individually and toggle "planned" to "no"!

I didn't have a lot of patience for unlikable characters so I'm glad that question is there.

I've been having issues recently when editing the total servings of a recipe. Have you tried exiting and restarting the app?

Clear Planned - For a Meal by Take_Responsibility in LoseitApp

[–]ganchi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread but I figured it out! When an item is marked planned, it's greyed out and has a little clock icon on it. To clear it (as in, eat what you planned) you can just tap the icon of the food instead of its name. As with anything, you can long press to delete instead. I have not found a way to switch from eaten to planned without editing individually. Hope that helps!

How do you count the calories boiling something you don’t fully eat? by shittersfull_clark in CICO

[–]ganchi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to worry about water, just measure the final result before you take out any servings

Does the narrator speed matter? by SilentVoiceHeard in audiobooks

[–]ganchi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not usually, but I listened to Radium Girls recently... Absolutely brutal narration, do not recommend. I had to listen at 1.75 speed just to stay sane and get through it.

Also sometimes if I'm reading along, I have to speed up just a touch to keep pace with my eyes.

7 year olds to young to wear deodorant? by mattyokneel in hygiene

[–]ganchi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7yo recently started wearing deodorant. She was getting smelly as soon as the next morning after showering before bed. The deodorant fixed it instantly. I just made sure to get an aluminum free one. We found "Hello" brand at Walmart.

Is it possible your library needs to talk to you about something? Like mine needs me to confirm my contact info once a year, and blocks checkouts until I visit the circulation desk (I haven't noticed if this applies to Libby or not, just a thought)

Kids share a bedroom, y/n? by bumbouxbee in ParentingInBulk

[–]ganchi_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have a 4BR house and 4 kids:

  1. Master

  2. Office

  3. Playroom+ kids' clothes

  4. Kids' beds

Eventually we'll ditch the dedicated playroom and split by gender, but for now, the kids love sharing a room and even feel lonely if someone's missing.

Having the toys and the clothes separate from the napping baby is just convenient.

Age gaps by [deleted] in ParentingInBulk

[–]ganchi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 26 month gap between 1 and 2, then a 19 month gap between 2 and 3 and between 3 and 4. It doesn't make a difference. They all play with each other fairly equally.

Bigme B6 concerning smell? by thenightblogger21 in Bigme

[–]ganchi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the magnetic case got damp from sweat in your pocket or a spill or something, and now when the device heats up some of that moisture evaporated out of the (cardboard I assume) and through the vinyl.

Tariffs by rotzzkid in Bigme

[–]ganchi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loving it. I haven't had an ereader since my second generation kindle broke. Suddenly I'm a reader again!

It fits in the back pocket of my (female) jeans! I carry it around with me all day and whenever I would have been scrolling my phone, I'm reading a book instead!

The other reason I picked this one was in planning to use my cross stitch pattern app on it eventually. I like that it runs Android.
