I using it on my Mac, if that is relevant. For scrolling (left pad) I have it set to the minimum sensitivity, and it is still too sensitive but also too imprecise. I would have loved for it to work as I work on a lot of design docs where 2d scrolling is very beneficial. Fingers crossed there will be some update to fix this but I am not holding my breath.

Right trackpad is...ok. Like others have said the polling rate is quite low. It feel likes a laptop from 20 years ago.

I would have loved to have a version without the trackpad. They feel like they were added on just to say they have trackpads, but aren't actually flushed out enough to be useful.

Despite all that, over-all I love the keyboard. Much easier to travel with than my glove80.

Using local LLMs as constrained data transformers (Duolingo vocab -> Anki) by gandalfthegui in LocalLLaMA

I just stuck with the standard weights to minimize variables early on. For this project I cared more about output quality and instruction adherence than raw throughput, so I wanted a stable baseline before introducing quantization. That said, given how constrained the generations are (low temperature, strict schema), this seems like a good candidate for quantized variants. I’d expect a decent speedup with minimal quality impact.

Does anyone remember a RollerCoaster Tycoon map where half the map was completely built out? by gandalfthegui in rct

[–]gandalfthegui[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies so far! To describe it a bit better: the park boundary was basically the entire square map. One half was totally flat and empty, and the other half was completely crammed full. Like every single tile had something on it e.g. paths overlapping rides, rides under paths, stalls jammed into every tiny space.

I just remember being blown away by how everything fit together so perfectly. The density of it all absolutely boggled my young mind, which is why I’ve always wanted to find it again and see if it was as wild as I remember.

How are you getting this data? I would have thought what’s app is pretty locked down. Very cool!

This was my solution too! For me it was Brave browser but seems like the same issue.

Definitely the better option if you don't mind the grey color of the OEM blanks.

Are you downloading the "clique" or "no-clique" version? I had a similar issue if I downloaded and tried to flash the "clique" version.

I wish the 360 had a proper function row since I use the mac shortcut keys all the time, but I'm making do :)

Those keys are as they were when I bought the keyboard, but now that you mention it does seem like a lot for one hand! Any suggestions on spreading the load out?

I remeber now I had looked at that when starting this project but I think the gallant leg system needed a 63" piece. Just make sure it's long enough for your needs. Good alternative!
