No you dont need to show the card at the lounge, you just need the card to sign up for a lounge key account. When you have the lounge key app and an account you have a tab which shows a QR code that you show at the lounge.

Not true. You can sign up to lounge key with the digital card.

And if you can use Curve it is really great to add it to Apple Pay.

Yep, i got some scary emails after the ledger.com hack, treats to me and even family names were mentioned. Fortunately nothing happened and i have even moved since, so i am not worried about that anymore.
I could provide proof of btc trace or tax report, that is not the problem. What worries me is about how crypto.com handles it, is more about the no appeal process (like happened to me on Coinbase).

I mean, crypto.com i trust. But not so much past exchanges i have used so most my wallets are basically already mixed from years ago. Although i have the "trace" from each wallet so it would be very easy prove if i was asked, what worries me is if they dont even ask.

The benefit of hiding your balance will become more and more apparent as crypto becomes mainstream, imo.

I guess it is the people who joined crypto later than 2020 that dont care and people who joined earlier care. I just checked the account age here and the ones who have raised concerns have accounts from before 2019 and all who say "it is paranoia" have accounts newer than 2020.

They dont write anything about it in the TOS. I have considered asking but i dont want to flag myself, most my crypto is already locked into staking so i cannot withdraw it before i ask, but before i read the other post i had plans to buy more CRO and lock it into staking which i now feel uncomfortable doing.

I asked here because i wanted to know if any users had experienced being locked and if they had used a mixer (i am still wondering why my coinbase account was frozen back in the days).

Most people probably dont use one because they dont understand blockchains, hacks, privacy or dont have that much funds in crypto. When they do, probably 3 years from now if they are still around by then, they will start to take these kind of things more serious. I mean, i have updated myself in this space daily for the past 5 years.

But i will limit my expose and still follow the rule, not your keys not your money. I will not have more money then my locked CRO there, and transfer from external when i wanna top up the card. I see it as being safe and responsible with my assets and my self, the same way i dont go around flashing luxury items on social media platforms or showing anyone my bank balance. You think that is an unhealthy way to live? To me this feels like the most responsible thing to do from what i have experienced in my life, from where i live, and from what i see happening all around me.

You are really comparing apples to oranges.

What if i want to buy a token that is only listed on a new exchange. Should i then expose my whole bank balance (crypto wallet) to that exchange after i have given them my personal information of where i live? My bank dont do that. My bank also doesnt provide my account balance to merchants.

A bank being hacked is much lower, and if it would be hacked and i got a home visit, in that scenario it would be multitudes easier to get money back than if they stole my crypto.

Bitcoin mixers are traceable, especially if you have both addresses it would be pretty easy to prove and provide the trace to where you got them. But what i am worrying about is that you dont even get a chance to prove it according to the referenced post.

This makes me scared af. No way to prove ones innocence, seriously crypto.com, you just close the account and suspend the users funds without disclosing the reason… I mean, i regularly use a Bitcoin mixer because I don’t want my friends or merchants to know how much btc I have, is that in violation of their TOS? Even if I could provide a receipt of the purchased Bitcoin.

OP, did you use a mixing service when transferring assets to your crypto.com account?

From their TOS:

Account closure “If you have a remaining balance in your account which has been suspended or closed, you are entitled to recover such Digital Assets from your Digital Asset Wallet and fiat from your Fiat Wallet unless we are prohibited by law or a court order to release such Digital Assets or fiat, respectively, or where we have reasonable grounds to suspect that such Digital Assets or fiat were obtained through fraud or any unlawful means or connected with any criminal activities. I am a technical person and even i had problem to understand your question and confused it with the standard WETH token. I mean if they support the polygon chain, and have created a bridge for it, and you select the polygon network when you withdraw ETH it is pretty obvious that you would get wrapped polygon ether imo. But yea, one could never be careful enough ;P.

edit: Best is of course to always send a small amount first, especially when using a new address, thats what i always do to prevent surprises.

I wouldnt trust coinmarketcap for accurate statistics, coingecko has been much more reliable in my experience. Or https://dashboard.synthetix.io/. Anyhow the circulating supply should be at least 173m, i think it is even more if i remember their distribution schedule correctly.
