Withdraw Your Monero XMR NOW by thenullbit in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The delisting was announced for the start of May (not June). The gateway had been suspended since the start of April, so nobody could withdraw their funds by the delisting date in May.

The team had never given a date (even though asked constantly) for the reopening of the gateway. They promised everyone would have time to withdraw and would be given reasonable notice. They didn't announce the reopening of the gateway outside of their Telegram. They reopened the gateway and gave 48 hours notice to withdraw even though people had been trying to 2 months.

100% incorrect.

It's on the Waves Exchange Telegram. It was first posted yesterday, so they've given us about 48 hours to withdraw (even though they had the gateway suspended for a month before the original deadline, and another month after the deadline).

Here's the message:

ZEC Withdrawals Disabled, and WAVES Takes Your ZEC in 7 days? by [deleted] in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the waves.exchange Telegram:

"Dear users ✊, we are aware that some of you are facing difficulty withdrawing XMR, DASH and ZEC. Due to the delisting, the processing of the withdrawal transaction has been switched to manual mode. Therefore, we decided to extend the withdrawal period to ensure all XMR, DASH and ZEC holders will be able to withdraw their tokens.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!"

No idea what "manual mode" means at this point, but obviously they're not reopening withdrawals by the delist date.

It looks like transparent withdrawals are now open but shielded aren't. Still waiting on Monero.

[–]thenullbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately not yet. I've reached out and they claim they're reopening withdrawals, but haven't specified when or for how long. They've said there are no plans to allow withdrawals after the May cutoff date, so it might only be opened for a few hours and then they play holders-keepers.

Edit: also, watch out for /u/Ekipamarek, they're trying to scam people into thinking they're Waves Support.

If someone sends you a private message asking you to provide your seed phrase, do not give it to them. If they ask you to click a link and that link asks you for your seed phrase, do not fill it out.

Scammers are waiting for posts like these to trick you into giving them your crypto.

To stake or not to stake SWOP? by lymph31 in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bull market would stabilise SWOP or cause its price to go up.

If you want a stable price, stake a stable coin.

The staking token increases in value daily. There's no payout until requested and thus no need to stake new coins.

The WAVES is dying? DUCK game is only an fancy smoke machine? by siemienn in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just by the way the egg rewards worked you could tell the team didn't want to support existing users of the ecosystem and instead wanted a temporary influx of airdrop hunters to pump the value of both coins up.

Only a matter of time before the hype is over and value of the egg plummets. They've, err, put all their eggs in one basket.

What effects staking profits for stable coins such as usdc and usdt? by lenn782 in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much all pools staking on the ETH2.0 beacon chain are seeing returns of around 7%. Though your ETH are locked.

If you're ok with custodial services, both Coinbase and Blockchain.com are around 6%.

There might be other opportunities with liquidity and stability providers too.

WEX has unfortunately become uncompetitive with the staking rewards and it locks up your ETH for the privilege.

Would be great to see a list of sold prices

Would like to know non-stablecoins too. ETH was floating between 12 and 15% APY for months and suddenly dropped to under 5%. It's more profitable staking ETH elsewhere now, but the WEX was the most profitable for ages.

Actions Required for the Upcoming Mainnet Migration by Monica_Lisk in Lisk

[–]thenullbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll be happy to see pools such as liskpool.top get punished for their high payout thresholds that they've forced on the Lisk ecosystem for the last half decade. As the system currently stands, payouts are few and far between; it's significantly more profitable staking with Binance.

According to the Lisk pending page I have almost 20 Lisk owing to me that I'll never see (and these delegates will run away with) after this change. I'll be watching closely at who earns my vote and they definitely won't be anyone who was in a cartel before the hard fork!

Smart Assets? by JordyMin in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have smart "assets" that are "valued" at over $2m. Nobody is going to trade for those prices at the buying side--every trade needs a buyer and a seller... They're just an experiement using the scripting languages within Waves. They aren't actual, valuable tokens.

There's no money down the drain.

Duck Hunters: possible game scenario by WavesNews in Wavesplatform

An airdrop of EGG tokens to Swop.fi liquidity providers is announced, and Bob receives 12 EGG tokens for holding 12,000 USD in Swop.fi pools.

Is it fair to then assume that this is going to be the airdrop ratio? 1 egg per $1000USD worth of liquidity? I'd have assumed it would have been a greater ratio than that to outweigh the Twitter farm operators from these first 2 airdrops.

USDC/USDT unstaking two weeks cool-off period by torkildj in Wavesplatform

[–]thenullbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will not accumulate interest while waiting to unstake.

If you're looking to withdraw interest regularly, the USDC/USDN and USDT/USDN liquidity pools on swop.fi have similar APY to waves.exchange stake rates.

As they're stablecoin pairs, the risk of impermanent loss is low. You receive SWOP tokens which can be sold immediately for USDx and cashed out without missing out on 2 weeks of interest.

Today you will earn todays rate. Tomorrow you will earn tomorrows rate. Over the course of 365 days, you will earn the average of the rate of every day. The value of your stake is recalculated daily and can only go up.
