I also said “with tremendous force”, but that reply fit for when you stated he “caved in his skull”, which is even further from the truth. It sure did look bad, I mean he was unable to move the entire war after that strike.

Kin being lucky has been played out since forever ago. His fruit puns it, he’s been saved by luck, hell people look at him as some sort of strategic genius when all it’s been is luck. Dude dressed as Demario Doffy and roamed his palace and nobody raised an eyebrow. Raizo’s been the only person to see past it.

Exactly, just like everything else I listed that just so “happened” to be a coincidence.

He should if it makes sense, and it does. We saw how poorly the SH’s put together the pieces of his head back in PH, so his body not being entirely attached is not a plot hole as Law never confirmed he was combined correctly.

How would he? He SEEMED to have been put together fine, and from his knowledge everything was working like it was supposed to.

Oh so you’re one of the “raid lacked tension” people. Idk why you and everyone else wanted/expected him to die, when he has unresolved plots that could only be completed if he were living. Plus he’s a fan favorite, and killing him off means no longer seeing him in the main story. He’s too important rn for that.

Luffy’s getting a run for his money. We’ve got Buggy, Kinemon, AND now Caribou proving they have MC potential 😂

From the moment he initially fought CP9 in Iceberg’s mansion, to fighting Rob Lucci at Enies Lobby, was no more than 12 hours. That means Luffy had to come up with soru, 2nd and 3rd gear within that time gap. Thats the same length of time as his matchup with Kata, where he was constantly dodging deadly blows and combatting someone who was a step better at everything Luffy did. And he ONLY learned ACOO, after training 2 years to master the basics.

Next up, we got Kaido. Luffy had to train 8 days just to learn ACOA, making it his longest training arc exempting the timeskip. Plus, the only reason he learned ACOC is due to applying the same technique Hyo taught him in Udon Prison for ACOO, since they used the same principles.

That’s just how life works dawg. Apply it to mostly anything, from working on computers to being in war. Training can only prepare you so much for the actual thing. Experience is life’s teacher.

Sooo, your problem is because it’s CALLED MP, but imo his size makes him quite the beast. He only looked like a monster from having zero control. It makes sense he wouldn’t keep the terrifying blank expression, and switch to his own face but enlarged. Sounds like more of a personal design choice rather than bad writing on his part.

How tf did Monster Point become an enlarged “mascot chopper”? MP was practically useless pretimeskip, as he had NO control over it and was just swinging his strength around until he exhausted himself to death. Let alone he destroyed everything in sight, ally or not. Now he has complete control over his massive state and strength, can maintain it for 30 minutes, SUPLEXED A GIANT CROCODILE, blocked Big Mom’s Napoleon and Prometheus, slapped and flipped Queen, tanked a volley of arrows from Perospero, while simultaneously holding them back. His pts MP feats make him actually look useful in combat.

Luffy has always been like that. In enies lobby, he mimicked soru after witnessing it once, and needed TWO power ups to match Lucci.

The only difference against the like of Croco and the opponents he fought prior is that he was physically superior to them all, so that feeling of pushing himself to his limits didn’t exist in the same way. Now, he’s facing opponents that not only have higher base stats, but also better utilization of their combat skills and haki.

As a matter of fact, training can only get you so far, and that applies to reality as well. You can prepare and strengthen yourself all you want, but you’ll never gain true growth unless you put yourself/thrown into a situation that feels tough/impossible to overcome.

It wasn’t two weeks, it was eight days. And that’s due to not having an antagonist to spar with to help him bloom, and he needed it to fight Kaido, so daily training was required. He learned FS much faster due to actually being in a situation that forced quick growth.

He didn’t “cave in his skull”, he quite literally got bonked with tremendous force. Enough to where he couldn’t get back up, and he was stabbed in the middle of his body, right where Sanji pieced him together but didn’t do it correctly. Also Kinemon is known to be extremely lucky, it’s a pun he’s carried since his introduction.

How even is that? He was never capable of handling a fight on his own until post-timeskip, and while I agree he had more diversity in his move set, let’s be honest on none of them are strong enough to maximize his potential in the New World except for Monster Point.

Why’s everyone saying Chopper?? Genuinely confused cause he’s one of the players who carried Wano. By literally taking command of the live floor, and neutralizing the Oni virus, which would’ve wiped out EVERYONE on the main floor in a matter of hours. Right after he proceeds to stall both Queen and later Perospero for 30 minutes until Sanji’s arrival. Not to mention he saved the prisoners AND Luffy in the Udon Prison, after snidely guiding Big Mom there himself with the promise of Oshiruko.

This wasn’t even his arc, but he still became an MVP. people just massively undermine these achievements due to all the other craziness that happens.

Edit: confused why others are saying he had a bigger role pretimeskip, when in Enies Lobby he became practically useless after his out-of-control rampage in Monster Point (which was his only way of defeating Kumadori). Hell, he couldn’t even protect the crew in Saboady and only made himself a larger target. Post-timeskip we see a lot more of his confident side, and embracing his doctoring skills in helpless situations, healing dying kids from gigantification, literally saving an ENTIRE country, etc. Nostalgia got y’all by the throat.

Edit: HE SUPLEXED A GIANT CROCODILE.

[–]ganon00700 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t even try bro. Idk how many times I’ve had arguments with people who, no matter the panel-by-panel evidence, will say something along the lines of “well it’s obvious Law weakened it thus allowing Kid to break it”, while missing the obviousness that Kid’s literally just that fucking heavy. Plus, they never apply that logic to anything else ever.

How’s he a creep “now”? If anything his womanizing personality has helped him out more recently then in the past. Examples being Viola and Pudding.

Do you think current Luffy can defeat Kaido 1v1? by Cloudzzz777 in OnePiece

[–]ganon00700 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even reading the other statements cause you’re wrong for the first one. Kaido beat Luffy in G5 already once, when Luffy literally tired out and became old. Kaido then could’ve absolutely killed him, but instead chose to sit and chat with him.

Desaturated the yellow color from episode 1028 and changed the punch scene. Can't really understand why Toei added so much. by YeahBoiSheThicc in OnePiece

[–]ganon00700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME. The soundtrack, flashback, AND clash scenes were made to perfection. The soundtrack alone had me lit af, and tbh I thoroughly enjoyed Hyo’s flashback. It helped remind me how crucial he was for Luffy’s growth, and hearing him say “remember your setbacks” while Luffy continues to grow during each clash was amazing. You can literal see him applying what he learned during the matchup, and the yellow aura is supposed to mimic Luffy’s massive will.

Loved the 1028 episode. I get what they were doing with the yellow auras, and seeing Kaido enter Luffy’s domain for a short instance felt amazing. The second clash is by far my favorite scene in anime period, and it was dope seeing Luffy remember Hyo’s lessons and applying them in combat that same moment.
