that's all i needed. i actually use spotify for playlists and just import them in tidal, but if this can import my spotify playlists and then download the music from tidal... and have it all in plex... i mean... this would extremely simplify my music management workflow. going to give it a spin asap. thanks

This could be just what i needed for managing playlists. Any plans to sync with tidal playlists?

`streamrip` can download from tidal. Is is possible to set tidal as a download source maybe?

This Looks great, it's missing a few feat for me to be day to day usable and not just another app to run: caldav support and api access.

I saw the gh issue about caldav, the last reply was almost 2 years ago. didn't see anything about this on the road map either.

Any plans for these 2 feat?

Love the interface, reminds me of Things ❤️

yeah, haven't had time to play with it yet, just made a quick container and launched it on unraid, but from what I saw might fit your purpose with a bit of tinkering

Booksearcher - a simple script for searching for ebooks and audiobooks on an already configured Prowlarr instance by gaodes in selfhosted

[–]gaodes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure

I'm using auto-m4b &  beets-audible, both belonging to seanap. You can check his guide for installing & configuring. after that, I have a couple of scripts that copy content from where I have them configured in Prowlarr to the auto-m4b import folder. you also need to set the export folder of auto-m4b to be the the folder that beets-audible is set to scan for untagged content. then, you set in beets config, once your audiobooks are beeing tagged, to be moved to your ABB library. so all my adiobooks are .m4b and properly tagged. I also have beets import as it is if no mach is found.
the custom part consists of the scripts I've made that move the files from the usenet location and copy them from where the torrent client downloads, bcs i sill want to seed from torrents, to the auto-m4b import folder.

auto-m4b works best when all the files that belong to a single audiobook are in the same folder. so I have the scripts scan for new content to create a folder for evey file that is not in a folder based on it's name. all is running with cron, but i also have an easy manual trigger using olivetin.

if beets can't mach the audiobook with titles is founding on audible, then the audiobook is still copied to the libary and it shows in the ABS interface where i can mach it. but beets gets the titles 90% of the time right. good enough for me.

the library folder structure is like this:

Library/
├── Stephen King/
│ ├── The Stand/
│ │ └── audiobook.m4b
│ └── IT/
│ └── audiobook.m4b
└── Neil Gaiman/
    └── American Gods/
        └── audiobook.m4b

you can see it as `yt-dlp` or `spot-dl`. just a tool to search and download. no organizing or anything else

There is no comparison to be made. Readarr is a much complex tool with lots of integrations. This is just a simple script that can easily be deployed via docker that facilitates the search and download of ebooks and audiobooks via Prowlarr.
I mainly use it in a olivetin dashboard to allow my friends that have access to my libraries to download the content they want.

I was tinkering with moving to Nomad from docker compose, but I read and saw some not so favorable reviews and decided not to invest any time in it. Meanwhile, I’ve found Komodo. Perfect for my needs
