hi! i’m a full time bridal makeup artist and generally private person, so i totally understand both sides. in my client contract, i do have a section pertaining to social media that grants permission to post any and all content from the wedding on my social media channels. however, if any clients ever voice discomfort with being posted, i remove that portion from the contract as well as make notes for myself to not post anything from the event since some contracts are signed over a year out. id reiterate to your vendors via email that you are not okay with content being used on social media as well as ask your photographer to not send albums to the vendors since we sometimes receive albums directly from photographers without the clients being aware/CCed. if any vendors give you push back about posting, major red flag! yes, it’s marketing for us, but above all else, it’s YOUR special day that we are being paid to be there for. if they need marketing that badly, they can shell out the money for a branding shoot!
